I think it'll be harder, but what you propose to do is also a niche. I, personally, blog about something very similar to what you propose to do.

Eventually, you'll be able to expand or narrow (depending on how you look at it) into another niche.

If you're looking to monetize your blog in the beginning, it'll probably be harder because your blog will cover a bunch of different topics.

If you're passionate about this, then you'll be able to write about this in a way that better connects with your readers. I read a lot of blogs and I can just sense when someone writes bull $h.#.

darbyoung - Thank you for the reply and answer. I took a look at your profile and saw that you rank #200 in just 2 months of activity .... just WOW . That is impressive! Congrats on the speed.

Let me expand a bit on my question .... I wanna build a website to monetize, and I know a lot of stuff about language learning, strategic thinking, self motivation, changing belief and I have a masters NLP degree. In 10 years of constant learning and self-struggle I have accumulated a wide variety of knowledge.

So my question was: instead of creating a number of smaller sites and blogs on their own targeted niches ... why not create a big site with sections for each of them ?
If the blogs is very content rich on so many topic (narrow niches) what are related in keywords, won't it score better in the SEOs ?

Just my opinion (disclaimer), you could take the productivity approach and use your NLP degree and experience to give you some credibility. If you have great content, you'll rank. Period.

How do you plan on monetizing your blog initially, if you're concerned with that?

I imagine you could sell an online course but that will take a lot of time to build up a demand for.

You mean "productivity approach" as in giving myself some credibility as creator of the content ? Or in the way I structure content and niches on the site ?

I did not fully strategize on the monetizing part... since I am a beginner my first hurdle was to start the site ... as it is a field I am devoted to and most likely having a site will benefit me as a career choice. -- I would like to establish myself as an authority in the field, make an audience, and once I do that offer some kind of 1-on-1 over skype consulting with a very good price for the consumer (like: pay half for the consultation before, and the second half after you find in your daily life that you're problem I helped you with is gone) - this will help me become better as a NLP practitioner, then I would also review and sell some products as dropshipping, and market some of my learning apps for the smartphone (once I learn how to make them) ,,,

You have more experience them me ... This is just a newbie's approach !

Ok! If you take the NLP approach, try to do more case studies. You might have to give deep discounts or even do some free services in the beginning just to get some testimonials and a proven track record.

What I meant by productivity approach was how to become more productive. It looks like you're not focusing on that if you focus on NLP. Do you have a niche you want to target with NLP such as weight loss or relationships?

Good know I'm not the one to give relationship advice!
NLP works for any thing from emotional trauma in the childhood to becoming motivated to loose weight ...

But I'm begging to see your approach. I could use NLP for weight loss and dieting, or optimizing learning for school material. Is this what you mean by productive ? To narrow down on a specific well-rounded niche ... ?

yes. NLP will be too foreign of a concept for many people so you have to be able to communicate to them in layman's terms for a specific problem or problems they have. trauma, weight loss are good.

I am very thankful for the help you provide, of which I would not have thought of otherwise ...

OK, I get it .... so be more specific with what I propose to help with and use that as a theme in the entire site ? And if I wanna apply NLP to different problem, the create a site for each of them ?
Instead of one big site with whole section specifically targeting each theme (weight loss, relationships, educating your child ) ... ?

Because for me that is the main hurdle in planning my site ...
a big site that covers many narrow niches .... or
a few smaller sites each of them covering the narrow niches individually ...?

I wanna aim do it the right way, for the most amount of traffic and monetization .. the bigger site that covers many niches was my initialy choice because it is centralized ...

Hi, Pasulschi.

By right, if you have created a website with the subdomain, it should still be there. Please open a ticket with the Site Support, they should be able to resolve the issue quickly. :)

You can try to repeat the process, if that fails send a ticket to site support

Thanks :) ... site restored ... let the work commence
