Apparently I'm AWESOME?

I still don't really have the hang of keywords. The differences between Google and Bing are still a mystery to me. I still don't know how to add the things I need to monetize my website so I can start to earn some money with it. And I'm still not really sure I know the difference between a page and a post.

But it's only been a month, and they told me from the start it wasn't a "get rich quick" scheme.

What I do have is a domain name that belongs to me and no one else, which a month ago I didn't know I could own one, much less how to go about getting one (I actually have bought a few more, but one step at a time). A website that, while not perfect, is coming along nicely. A new-found ability to take pictures I have taken and combine them with words I have written to make a beautiful presentation people actually like! Go ahead, you get YOUR 19-year-old to read something you wrote and say gee, Mom, that was really good!! And some folks have told me that they now understand about the sport of roller hockey, which was the whole point of the website when I started this.

So, while I still have a laundry list of things I still don't quite understand or know how to do, there are plenty of things I have accomplished that I didn't think were possible a month ago. I also know that if I follow the training I will learn to do the things I don't yet know how to do. I may not understand it all, but I will know how to do it :)

I am hoping that in three months I will have two more beautiful, helpful, productive websites up and functioning. In six months I hope that they will provide enough to pay for my membership in my new-found addiction.

Maybe by then I'll understand how to really use keywords. But even if I don't, I will be able to take the question mark off the title of this blog, because I will have accomplished what I set out to do and brought a few more folks along with me for the ride.
