Lamborghini in Whangamomona, who would have thought lol...
It is events like the Targa Rally, every two years, that bring people to Whangamomona. Not only do we have people flocking to events such as this, but it is a time that the community comes together for a bit of fundraising for Marco School, Whangamomonas local primary school.
With hands a plenty, mothers from around the local district turned up with local baking while the mums of the Primary School volunteered their time at the Whangamomona Hall to feed and water all that were here throughout the lunch break.
I am at the Finish line of the First leg, so popped down to the busy little town today as it is preparing and repairing for the 2nd leg and return to Douglas all fed and watered.

As I type this at 2.26pm the first vehicle, the bright orange safety car has just gone through, so I guess it will be all go shortly.
Be a lot different from this end as they start about 300m away, just around a little bend, and I can not see the start line from my front lawn.
2.41pm and just like that, it is all over my end for another two years.
So happy I set my video up so I get to share with you the initial line up of cars heading back to Douglas, Taranaki.
Just needed to share, as not too often we have such an event being as isolated as we are her in Whangamomona.
Enjoy your day as I have,
Cheers
Jo
