Sick of Scammers
Are you sick of scammers? Well, I am so over it!
Today, a dear friend called me. Her Facebook account got hacked. Then, the low life used her direct selling login through Facebook and ordered a bunch of stuff charging her company account. This stinks, not just because of the hacks...she just got back from a trip where she had to bury her parent.
I am so sick of scammers. Like most of us in this space, I am on several social media platforms. On each of these platforms, I will get multiple scammers in my inboxs and even some on my posts in the comment sections. I cannot begin to count how many people who tried to offer me a free federal government grant.
Changing my password frequently and not using a common password combination have helped to protect me from account hackers. It is a pain to change them but better safe then sorry.
And there is the phone. Scammers calling on the landline and the cellphone. I have gotten a couple of spam blockers for the phones which seem to be working.
I realize that some of these scammers are from poor places in the world and this is a way out of the poverty for them. However, it is still wrong. It is pure greed, and in some case maybe desperation.
Either way, I am over the scammers and just want them to go get an honest job!

Yes Myra, this is a social disease. And it will not disappear. You are taking the right steps to protect all of your accounts as much as possible and we are all in the same boat. We shall all be vigilant and ensure that all doors are secured and locked.

I've been scammed too. My ID was used by scammers hacking my Android phone. Bad juju. They will remain broke by acting this behavior there is no justification. Every moment is a choice.
Hi Myra, I'm sorry to hear what happened to your friend. As safe as PayPal is supposed to be, I've had that account hacked and the scum bag changed my account to French. You should have seen the hoops I had to go through on that one.
Scamming seems to be getting worse. We need to be even more vigilant now. I am a retired law enforcement officer and I would like nothing better than to catch one of these clowns.

Hi Myra, I find this so sickening. These people do not care, just looking to make an easy buck by using someone else.
I fought for a month against a company that would not acknowledge, what was stated as a 30 day money back guarantee.
I had a lot of support from the WA community, and was eventually able to get my money back.
