Are You Running a Three-Ring Circus?

Do you ever feel like you are running a three-ring circus? I know I do. Working from home can have such advantages. However, it comes with a price.

When I worked a public job, there were certain things that I could count on. I knew what time I had to report and what time I got off from work. I had specific duties and tasks that I had to complete. Plus, I had a steady paycheck. There were routine and consistency.

Yet, in many ways, these were the very things that were holding me back. I had limited time to spend with my family because I was working 40 to 60 hours a week. It was great knowing what I had to do for my position, but those tasks got to be boring. A steady paycheck was nice, but it left little room for increasing my earning power.

So, when I retired from my first career a few years ago, I knew that I wanted to do things differently in my second career. I wanted a flexible schedule so I could spend more time with my family. I wanted variety in my tasks and the ability to increase my earning power.

Working from home was the answer. I looked into opportunities that made use of my talents and skills. After trying on a few possibilities, I found the one. You know what I mean...an opportunity that ignites and fuels your passion.

My home business has made a world of difference in my life. I have made friends from all over the world. I am making use of my talents and skills that I have worked so hard to acquire. My earning power has increased. I can schedule my work day so that I can spend precious time with my family.

Yes, it can get crazy at times. The phone and doorbell always seem to ring at the same time. Multi-tasking is getting easier. I can cook, wash clothes, do training and work on the computer at the same time. I have learned to do live videos in another room away from my baby birds who always want to get in on the action. So, yes, my home is like a three-ring circus, but I cannot think of any other place I had rather be. Working from home is my chosen second career.
