Target Audience is YOU!
My target audience is the WA community!
I am progressing in the Training, right now on Course 3, (Yeah!) and have written several blogs on my website. This has been very exciting, I love this course as it is so well written and easy to follow. But there are challenges. . .
As we members are being instructed to write more blogs for our websites, one of the challenges, at least for me, is coming up with an idea for a blog.
And with that in mind, I thought about who is my target audience?
As I am just beginning, without any affiliate links in my website as yet, I realize that my audience, at least for now, is mostly other WA members.
And since I would like comments on my blog posts, although I am writing about my niche, I am also aware of the WA community.
For example, my niche is about crafts and flowers. I know that not everyone in WA is interested in crafts. So, I find myself writing in a more general style, with personal stories about crafts, since most people like stories.
What I am hoping for, is that WA members (who aren't interested in crafts) would be interested in my stories (related to crafts and my niche) and therefore, be inspired to leave a comment.
I am so grateful for the comments and do enjoy providing comments for members.
Especially in the beginning, when you didn't have traffic to your website, did you consider the WA community as your audience, when you wrote your first WP website blogs?

crafting is not one of my strong points however it is a lovely skill to have, you seem to be progressing well,
I never thought of targeting the WA community, but as I am a crafter I will be off to your site in a moment, would you mind having a look at mine and telling me what you think, I will leave you some comments on your site...:-))Steph
Look at the replies that come in and offer them advice and other incentives to help your audience grow.
Try taking a look at the competition and see what they are writing about, it may give you some further inspiration Myra :)

Very good point, WA have helped me drive traffic to my site. Members have visited and left comments without me submitting a request.
It helps increase my site's ranking so i can reach my target audience through the search engines.
Great post Myra. Cheers kev
