Finished Course 2 - Worth it!
When I finished Course 1, it was like I had build the foundation of a house. I couldn't see any walls going up and definitely not the framework for the roof.
But the foundation is very important. No point building a nice home, if the foundation is on shifting sand or too close to the edge of a cliff. No point building a nice home, if it is not made with good quality materials. With finishing Course 1, I was able to build a solid and stable foundation with high quality materials, and with the help of others who have good work ethics.
Now I have completed Course 2! Yeah! The house is not quite complete but I can see the framework of the walls and roof. I have already picked out the paint color for the walls and the flooring and the kitchen appliances. The framework is also solid and well constructed. The materials have arrived for the walls, roof, door and windows, etc. The house is on its way to completion.
In Course 2, I met many more of my neighbors, some of them have already build their house and have been living in it for several years. Some are just beginning to build their foundation. Some haven't decided which style of house they want. And others already know what kind of house they want to live in and are ready to build.
The neighborhood has a Homeowners Association, OK, that will cost me a little each month, but well worth it! They are providing an excellent service in caring for us all. Thank you. The neighbors are very friendly and helpful. This is the kind of neighborhood I am already appreciating and enjoying.
My goal in the next 6 months: to finish building my house with a big porch, where I can relax with family, friends, and neighbors.
My plans as I continue to build my house is to help others, as they build their homes.
