Just looking for some success stories or some of the challenges with Amazon's Affiliate Program.
Hello there!
I know there are many here at WA that have made a lot of money from Amazon. From what I have gathered, Amazon has a very good conversion rate, since it is a site that is trusted by many.
I would also add that Amazon has access to an endless list of products, covering almost every possible niche out there. There are many cases where visitors end up buying something else entirely through the same affiliate link, and the affiliate themselves still earn commission from that.
I guess the downside is that, you will get paid through checks, since they do not provide wire transfers. They also give you a trial period of 180 days for you to make a sale, and if you do not, you will be dropped form their program. But you still can sign-up again though.
Cheers =)
Agreed, as Farhan indicated, the public has a lot of Trust with Amazon. They are huge, of course, and been around a good long while.
The real con to me is that their commission percentage is rather low. They start you out in the 6-8% commission range. If you become an affiliate for other things like digital products, you can hit the 45-70% commission range. But, the trust value of Amazon isn't there.
So, with Amazon, you would have to sell much more product.
Just my 2 cents.

I've used Shutterstock.com in the past. Their prices are very reasonable. Are there any good sites with FREE images?
