You can achieve your dreams

Last Update: October 28, 2014

I want to tell you a little story that was told to me many years ago. It is a story that we can all benefit from in one way or another.

This is the story about a small village Before water mains were been used, and there was 2 rival business men supplying water to there village.

The first business man use to walk 10 miles every day to the foot of a mountain stream, were he would fill up with as much water as he could and carry it the 10 miles back. He did this journey several times a day and with each journey collected $2 from the sale of his water.

The other business man decided that he was going to build a pipe running from the foot of the mountain stream all the way to the village so that he would not have to carry water every day. He wanted to do this so that the water would come to him.

The first business man thought the second business man was wasting his time and was happy that he would be the only one selling water to the village.

But the second business man took no notice and started to lay his pipes. As the days turned into weeks and the weeks turned into months the first business man got richer and richer. Whilst the second business man spent more and more money.

But the second business man new what he was doing, he was building his pipeline little by little each and every day. Getting closer and closer to the village.

By the time a year had gone by the second business man had completed his pipeline and the village started to get all there water from him as they did not need to wait for the first business man to return with his buckets of water several times a day.

The first business man went out of business and the second business man had created a constant cash flow for himself by believing in his dreams and going for it.

So the moral of the story is if you make a plan and take it step by step, a little every day then you to can achieve your dreams.

Nice story, where did the second businessman get the pipes, I'm sure he had to pay a lot of money for the materials (pipes) or cut a lot of Bamboo to cover the 10 mile distance.
I get the moral of the story though.
Melvin.

It's the moral of the story that's important.

The great thing about internet marketing is we our pipes are relatively cheap. We only need a computer and a smart phone.

Nice to be reminded of this sometimes. It's sometimes too easy to lose faith in what you're doing before being able to reap the benefits. Thanks for the positive vibes. :-)

Remember Martha every journey begins with a single step and our dreams get closer with every step we take. It's not a race to the finish, the journey to your dreams will be one of the most important roads you will travel. Take your time, don't rush and each day is one day closer to success.

There is no taking to long, It is done at your own speed. No one here is testing the time it takes you. One thing that will always help is note pad on your PC . Take notes and keep information at hand on your pc so you wont get lost. My best wishes to you JB

I know i'm not in a race, but I wish I could learn faster and achieve results faster. I like the note pad suggestion I have been writing on paper which tends to get shuffled around and lost. Thank you!

I know we would like to make a profit, in the very beginning, but it takes time to learn new things. every thing in life that you learn right, takes time. Remember when you learned to tie your shoes? It to took some doing, to get it done. but the satisfaction when you had it down was over the top with excitement. another trick I use is opening two pages at the same time ie your lesson and your website editor. that way you can bounce back and forth while you do the work. it will be worth the hard work when you achieve your goals. Thank you Jeff for caring and your tip about website editor. I think I was late on learning how to tie my shoes, to talk and walk.

Hello Tanya. Although I am tired of the day to day grind, and want to make the extra money NOW, you definitely put it in perspective for me with this post. I am realizing now that the 11 years of failures were because of that thinking I had of getting the benefits now. (the scams didn't help either) Reading this now makes me more determined to just stick to the training and put it in God's hands and the rest will come in time. Being a part of WA is sure making that process easier to do. Really glad to meet you. I am looking forward to reading more of your tips and advice. Thanks again.

Tanya,

Thank You,
Not only is this a great story, I really appreciate you sharing!

Your story tells of my path here at WA.
I have been slowly learning and applying my newly discovered knowledge, since last 12/08/13 when I started here.
My actual site I never even put up until February of this year.

Each day I see small successes appear before my eyes, whether Google pushes a new post to it's 1st page in search, someone has read my post or review and left a comment, or followed my path and signed up here at WA it all came from the mindset in your story above.
I have actually just begun a 2nd site that is in a totally different niche, that I hope to build in a similar fashion.

We live in a world of instant gratification that I try to avoid like the plague, I prefer as in the movie Field of Dreams, "If You Build It They Will Come"

Great job, thanks again and best to your success,

Gary

Love the read, there are those (including myself) that have done the paycheck to paycheck and are very unhappy with the constant 24 hr thinking of the next bill that is due. I have made a choice to build my foundation (even at this late in life) to provide for my girls future. Why I didn't
make this decision 20 years ago is beyond me but as long as Im living and able to provide Im going to build that security for long term success
