The Role of Education Tomorrow

A few weeks ago I watched a presentation on how almost everything has changed since the 19th century, basically everything from technology to the way we do business, except for education. It left me in tears, I mean, imagine, our children are literally learning in the same environment as Charles Darwin, in fact in a world with so much change and challenges, they are still learning about Charles Darwin. Isn't it a pity? A class with a teacher in front, with a chalk and duster, maybe a projector, well nothing has changed in this sector, except for the players, and they are already bored. I mean the high rates of substance abuse and drop outs tells the story better. Can we change the story?

Thanks to internet, the story will drastically change. In fact in some places, the change is already visible. I would want a world with more teachers, working from home, more interactive classes where the learner does not have to raise their hands, and learners with a different point of view are given a chance to explain themselves. In our world today the teacher is not always right, developments happen over night, like what happened to Pluto, the ex-planet. I know people hate change, but imagine what an online graduation would look like. Plus there are so many of us who use the certificates to fill our cabinets, I want to see universities publish degree certificates on LinkedIn, Twitter and Wealthy Affiliate, these papers are a waste of time and money. And all the online professionals say Amen.
