Another FREE Tool For Your Arsenal
Hey there Guys 'n Dolls!
Here's hoping that you are doing well and taking things one moment at a time...this is all we have!
So, just want to weigh in with my latest 'best friend'...a FREE tool.
I currently use Loom, Screencastomatic to create my videos. Well, I ran across this FREE video online tool...

It is run by APPS123.
What I LOVE about this free tool:
- no ads
- 45 mins of recording time
- easy to use
- you can also do a voice recording
- other things you can do - audio cutter, joiner, converter PLUS PDF tools
What I did not find efficient:
- not able to reverse camera so you can't really 'show your screen' if you wanted to 'teach' in your video
SOOOH, the long and short of it...go have a look and see if it can be you new best friend!

Have you heard of OBS Studio? It's also free but more advanced - offers lots of possibilities. I found it when trying to figure out how to easily do screencast while having a small video of yourself in a corner... Here is a YouTube tutorial: https://youtu.be/uL8BwstqiqE - it's also not an affiliate link. I then learned that it has lots of other awesome features.

Thank you for sharing this! I noticed that you said you use Screencastomatic to create some of your videos. What do you think of it? I also use Screencastomatic for my video creation, but I've got a web camera coming in soon that I plan to use in conjunction with it.

Thnx for your thoughts. I do use screencastomatic, like it, it is easy to use...a plus! I still use the 'free/basic' version and this has a 'recording time' limitation...but I suspect if one goes premium then this won't be an issue. Just thinking about 'boot-strapping' members and making the transition fairly 'affordable' for them.

I've upgraded to the next version from free on screencastomatic. It's the one where it costs $19 a year. So far, I really like it and glad that I really don't have a time limitation. Once I get my web camera in, I'll be able to add my face as well as the screen capture and hopefully this will help increase viewers on my YouTube channel.

On that score, I was paying for Screencast-o-matic and switched to the free version of Zoom.
I had never thought to use Zoom to create my videos/screensharing videos as I had only used it for meetings - but if you don't invite anyone to the meeting, it works exactly the same as screencast-o-matic. And I find Zoom more user-friendly.
And yes, I love that Zoom also gives me both video and audio recordings.
I can see this tool (online voice recorder) coming in handy for video and audio editing. Thanks a mill. I know how to trim but haven't learned how to join yet. Will go check it out. Thanks again.
AWESOME, Lauren...how are you doing? Glad to see you. AND thnx for your Zoom tip as well. Glad that you can find some use for this freebie. Is there a 'time limit' on Zoom recordings?

There's no time limit on Zoom if you're recording alone or with one other person - say for an interview. As soon as you have 3 people in a meeting, the time limit for the entire meeting is 40 minutes.
So glad you are doing OK. I KNOW you are UBER busy...and then, we all have stuff going on too...lol...thnx for the info and talk when we do,
