Have You Been Updating Your Amazon Links?

Recently, I have been encountering a number of websites where Amazon product links are out of date.

Many times, Amazon and/or the manufacturer will discontinue an item, or the item will go out of stock. This can be extremely frustrating to a potential customer, who put the time in to read your review, only to see the item is no longer available.

Often though, the item will still be available, but it will be under an alternate link. If this is the case, you just need to get the new link, and update it on your post. If there is not a new link, you should consider "unpublishing" the post altogether

It is hence important to sporadically go to your pages and posts, click your links, and see if the product is still relevant. If your site contains bad links, it can very negatively your sales for obvious reasons.

Granted, you are still directing people to Amazon, and will get credit for anything they purchase within 24 hours, but still you will potentially lose some credibility and trust.

This is why it is very important to stay on top of things, and check monthly, or probably even weekly to ensure your site contains the most up-to-date links.
