What's the purpose of creating a blog on WA?

Is there any reason to create a blog on the site other than to chronicle your learning? I assume this isn't open to anyone other than other WA members?

Actually, it is available to the 'outside' world. Some posts do show up in a thread, or commentary on Google (and of course Bing), so they do get buried in there.
As for chronicling, it's also a support/story system.
When you want to jump in, you can, but you don't have to start right away! LOL
Focus on the training first, then worry about this part later.
