Is there any need to add sitemaps for both http://domain.com and http://www.domain.com version? My website's sitemap's not getting indexed. It's been two days since I submitted

As for the domain name differences, you do not have to submit sitemaps for each one. Just one for the version you verify your site with on Google Search Console.:)

Thank you much, Marlinda. That helps a lot.
Have a great week ahead!

One more question, Marlinda. Is there any need to resubmit my sitemap if its out there in pending state without any errors?
Thanks

It takes at least a week to be indexed and can take up to a couple of months depending on Google. I use Google XML sitemaps with AIO SEO because AIO seems to need the assistance, lol. Keep up the good work:)

If I am promoting a product on amazon and putting an affiliate link for that too. Can i use the images from amazon product page on my review blog post?
Thanks

I have heard other marketers suggest that this is up in the air. As, if there may be debate as to whether you should do this or not.

I have a new respect for Marlinda1 and her answer. Pages or stores selling product have put the time and effort to produce the selling display, and that should be respected as well.

Point taken, Jared. And thanks for sharing your views.

You can use the affiliate image link without any extra permissions. They can slow your website down though.

So if you want to save the picture and manually add your affiliate link you need to get the seller's permission to do so.

Hope this helps :)

Can we build one post with all the affiliate links (like a catalog) I want, and link to it from other posts (as and when needed)? Is it ok to have one post with maximum number

From my own experience of having too many affiliate links, Google may punish your site for creating a page just full of links.

It needs to be a page of "value" - a review with a few affiliate links used sparingly. And then link to that review from other areas of your site.

While it may be tempting to stuff a page full of links, Google could see it as a red flag, regardless of how much quality content you've published.

My advice: Tread carefully when it comes to the use of affiliate links. Use them in a way that doesn't look spammy to your visitors or Google :)

Neil

Yea, i understand what you say, Neil. I was thinking hard on all the pros and cons about this approach. But finally, gave up and asked. Thank you much for your detailed input. That helps.

Subhadeep

Hmm I wonder, does that also mean one shouldn't build a best of page with 10 products linked to amazon?

You're welcome, Subhadeep! Any review I publish promoting products, now only has 2 affiliate links. One at the top of the review and one at bottom of the page.

I guess it's best just to figure out what works for your site. If ever you do notice a drop in rankings, try reducing the number of affiliate links because my rankings improved again once I ditched a number of links.

Neil

I think it's a case of trial and error. As long as you have plenty of valuable content on that page, you might be able to get away with 10 links.

Exactly, this was the thought that crossed my mind.

Good to know, didn't know you could do that either!

Wow! Isn't that wonderful how we learn so much from each other's.

True! as it can be.

Yes, that is a good way of doing it.

Thank you Hennie!
