An update after 5 weeks at WA

Hello all

I just wanted to let everyone know where I'm at on my journey here at WA.

Just over 5 weeks ago, a few days before I was due to turn 46, I was sitting in front of my computer with a cup of tea in my hand, feeling sorry for myself.

It had not been long since my husband and I packed up my car and moved 5 hours away from my family to a small country town here in Western Australia.

Ken had been offered a job to manage the front of house restaurant at a local brewery. Of course I made him take it. You should always take a chance on any opporutnity that could lead to self improvement. This job would help my husband grow on many different levels.

Unfortunately when moving to this small town, I soon learned I will be treated as an out-of-towner for a while. Trying to get a job here without many qualifcations was near impossible, not being a long time local just made it all the more difficult.

Ken was lucky as he had the skills and the many years of experience that the brewery desperately needed.

I, on the other hand couldn't find a job at either the local hospital or any of the doctors practices as a clerk. I tried looking for work in other areas with the skills I had aquired from past employment, but experienced no joy there either.

I am not one who can sit still and do nothing all day and I was bored out of my brain (which was slowly turning to mush) and decided to do something about it.

Time to get active

First step was to start researching ways to make money online. After all I had a computer why not put it to good use.

I surfed the net and read up on a lot of articles, then went on to search through videos on YouTube. Here I came across a guy called Chris talking about making money from home online, using the WA platform.

I was intrigued and decided to check it out, I liked what I saw and signed up for the free courses. A few days in, I upgraded to the premium membership. Thank you Chris, my new mentor.

Affilate marketing was all new to me. Through WA, I was learning new stuff every day but most importantly I was being challenged every day. No more mushy brain.

I got my life spark back.

New goals

I made a promise to myself that now was the time to stop sitting on the fence procrasting and to take a leap of faith into the void and make something of myself.

I was serious about doing this and set a few goals to achieve within my first 6 months at WA.

The first goal, was to set up my own website writing blogs, educating people on making healthier choices for themselves, which in turn would lead to less land fill waste accumulating.

The second goal was to set up a drop shipping website, so I could start contributing to the household income. My lovely husband has been so supportive and agreed to pay my monthly premium membership until I become successful with my endeavours.

As of yesterday I have achieved both my goals, in under 6 weeks!

Now it was not all smooth sailing...

I found myself walking away from the computer on several occassions. Constantly questioning myself, was I doing the right thing?

I don't find blogging easy at all. This area in my journey still requires much improvement which I know will come with time, so maybe my third goal, should be to become a great and consistent blogger.

Moving Forward

I still yet, have so much to learn and I am currently on level 4 in training, learning about mastering social engagement. My websites will grow and change as I learn more throughout my courses.

To those of you that are just starting out, don't give up. I have yet to earn a single dollar. The money will come within time.

Yes the training Kyle gives us can get a little overwhelming at times, too be honest I think I had found it was more of a case of information overload than anything else. I have myself to blame as I should have paced myself instead of moving through the courses like a bullet train.

Ask lots of questions. The amount of knowledge members in this community have is outstanding. Everyone is so supportive and we want all to succeed. I love that about WA.

Ask and listen to feedback. People here know what works and what doesn't.

Times can often be tough but just don't give up. Plant the seeds and soon within time you will have trees bearing lots of fruit.

I want to thank all those who have offered me advice and encouragement since I have started back in early February.

Never in my wildest dreams would I ever have believed that I would purchase and run 2 of my very own domains.

I am excited to see how things will progress by the 6 month mark.
