My First 10 Days. I love this place.
Day 1: Wow! What an awesome place, so much to learn, a charming community, fantastic tools and an easy to navigate layout! "I think I'll be here for quite a while!" I embraced it and couldn't wait for what was to come...
Day 2: I woke up thinking about that site I found last night, I came on and and jumped in to the next lesson. A few hours passed before I came off the computer to get something to eat. I'd created my first website and learned about niches and started the foundation of my research in to various niches and ideas. My creative juices were flowing and the potential seemed overwhelming, it was on the second day that I decided I love this place.
Day 3: Today I wanted to look more in to the community, visit profiles, posts and generally see what other people have said and done. As well as looking in to the affiliate program and bootcamp. I also tried out the live chat for the first time too, I was curious if further down the line, I'd be able to turn my first site in to a forum, while I was waiting for a response, I tried helping out someone else but before I could finish typing to them, I had not one, but two responses, in less than a minute! Wow!
Day 4: Just like on day 2, I woke up thinking about Wealthy Affiliate. But I had to go to work... That night I was eager to jump in to the Affiliate Bootcamp and put the other lessons on hold but I resisted. I did a little bit more "work" on my first site, got through a couple more lessons and watched some video's on YouTube about affiliate marketing, building websites that earn money and John Chow.
Day 5: Again I resisted diving in to the Affiliate Bootcamp and decided that today, I wanted to finish course 1. I completed the first course, learned even more! MISSION ACCOMPLISHED. After that, I continued researching my idea's and decided that tomorrow I was going to go premium.
Day 6: Premium Day! After upgrading to premium and checking out the first lesson of course 2, I gave in to the urge of checking out lesson 2 of the Affiliate Bootcamp. I also moved on to lesson 3. I came up with even more idea's, exciting stuff and so much potential!
Day 7: Today I decided to do some research in to FB groups and pages, seeing what people respond to and where the best places are to get a response AND clicks! A few hours later... "OMG What a load of spam and scam!" So much crap goes through the groups and pages that were created with helping people work from home in mind! "Where the f**k are all the admins!?" 50+ groups/pages of mostly crap!
However, I remained curious as to what got more clicks. Commenting on liked posts or starting new posts. So I posted my affiliate link on those groups/pages, half comments, half starting a new post. Stating "Want to learn how to build a successful website, work from home and get help from a friendly community along the way? Feel free to message me if you have any questions :) (Link Here)" A few hours later I'd found that new posts got more clicks than comments and that a few of the scammers thought my posts were funny. Left each trial alone for an hour before tallying up. About 5 clicks on the comments, about 15 clicks on the new posts. No one joined WA to check it out (or at least completed their profile) and no one sent me a private message. Despite being disappointed in what those places had become (assuming once upon a time they were good), my research was complete and I did get the info I set out to learn so... MISSION ACCOMPLISHED.
Day 8: I created my second website, began researching some sub-niche's and started working on some articles for my second website as well as creating the foundation for more. A productive day :)
Day 9: I didn't even come on, do any research or watch anything relevant on YouTube. Is the honeymoon period over, is my journey at an end!? Nah... I was just tired after work :P See you tomorrow WA :)
Day 10: Today my goal was to focus just on research for both of my sites. I already had lots of idea's for my second website but I wanted more foundation for my first. After a couple of video's on YouTube I ended up doing some research in to plugins. Especially one's that I thought would come in handy for a forum. A couple of hours later I came to the conclusion that picking the right theme will probably be more important. I stopped there and I've decided my next task is to decide on a theme for my first site, there are a lot to look through so that is going to the top of my to-do list after a few more lessons.
Overall Review of The Last 10 Days: I'm very happy with everything that I'm learning and I'm in love with the potential and this place! I'm closer to the goals I set out on day 1. Progress has been made, I'm getting somewhere :) I know the longer I stick at it then the more progress I'm going to make, the more I'm going to learn and I'm going to reach those goals!

I have made a free website and if I want to make into a .com domain would have to pay $ 49 per year with e-commerce features. But, I have not done it. Because I do not know what I'm going to sell there. Now just make a few articles but not many people is visiting. So I did not continue it. Sorry for my bad english... :p
Hey Peter! Yeah I've made a couple of websites so far but I'm embarrassed to show them off because there is a LOT of work that needs doing on them!
For the past month I've been working on articles that I plan on putting up as well as planning on where I'm going to be sharing those articles along with some appropriate varying lead-in text. Here is a link to that one - http://moneybuddy.siterubix.com/
I'm not planning on having it all ready until the end of the year/start of next year. It will have taken a few months to have everything where I want it before officially launching it.
If you aren't sure what to sell you could always sell WA :) That's what I'm basically planning on doing with that website. As for the visitors, that's where my planning on where I'm going to share those articles comes in to play. I'm not planning on getting it indexed in google without doing anything once everything is up... I'm planning on doing a forum marketing campaign to get the initial traffic over the first few months.
Another way you could get traffic is by jumping in chat rooms and talking to random people that have an interest in the content of your chosen niche. The making money niche should be a safe choice because money is something that everyone needs. (Not something I've tried out myself yet.) If that's something you want to try out I can't emphasize enough how important the trust factor is. That combined with nothing spammy looking. If there is some solid or interesting advice backing your content then that should give it some credit too. There is a lot you can learn about getting good traffic here in the lessons and as you progress through stuff here on WA you'll pick up more selling points of it too.
