Three Months and Success - A New Path

There has certainly been a lot of changes in my life within the last three months. I found myself (unfortunately) in the not so desirable position of being unemployed. Like so many others I fell victim to lean policy from a large corporation and as a result at age 52 found myself wondering just what my next move would be.

In all truthfulness, getting back on the job hunt was not something I wanted to jump back into blindly. Regionally, I live in Alberta, Canada and like so many I worked in Oil & Energy away from home for extended periods making a good living but missing out on so much. I made the conscious choice to not pursue out of town jobs but still had no idea what it was I wanted to do.

In earnest I began my job search, looking for different career paths and options. I started to look at work from home opportunities and this is how I came across Wealthy Affiliate.

Now, I am a fairly cautious person and I had to perform my due diligence to understand just what all this was about. I came to understand that there was really no down side to this platform. What Kyle & Carson offer is a gift really, you get to leverage their know how and learn new skills on a daily basis, Awesome.

I am the type of person who needs to be challenged and loves learning new skills. Wealthy Affiliate has provided both for me in a well thought out and scheduled manner.

I will fully admit that in my enthusiasm I got a wee bit carried away and started to focus too much on getting my site(s) up and noticed (ranked). I started to build content and social engagement without a clear plan and became frustrated when things were not happening quickly enough. What was it that I needed to do?

Quite simply, get back to the courses and learning offered by Wealthy Affiliate and gain a better understanding of the process and how things can and will work for me.

Some extraordinary things happened to me. I built two web-sites both were indexed in google and I started to generate content and publish that content. This is something, which even six months ago would have been beyond my wildest dreams. Me! An online publisher and marketing entrepreneur, never would have guessed. This is success.

I am learning everyday, doing something I love (my main site revolves around music) which is my passion. I intend to continue growing in this field and develop my skills and hope to make new friends along the way...on my new path.
