Local Internet Marketing...Lots of Potential
So today, I met with a personal trainer in my area who was interested in getting more customers via the internet. I have never done anything like this before, but I was sure what I learned within the Wealthy Affiliate Community would help me help him, lol.
Anywho, I started by doing some research on his company and asking him questions regarding the company's:
- Target Market
- Current and Past Marketing Efforts
- Future Plans
I also researched his business website and social media outlets. This gave me an idea of where the business was and where he could improve the results.
Since he owns a local business, I researched some local, low hanging keywords and got some great results. I also saw that the company did not have a Google+ page or Google Map location. The company was also not listed on Yelp (which is a hot spot for customers researching local companies).
Before our meeting I created a short PowerPoint Presentation addressing some of the issues I saw and listing suggestions. During our meeting, I asked him some additional questions regarding how he felt his business could improve and what things he had done that lead to a ROI.
Well, I'm glad to say that he was impressed and thankful that I had opened his eyes to wonderful world of internet marketing for his local business.
I've officially been bitten by the local marketing bug and I'm looking forward to offering my local area marketing services that will enable them to grow while focusing on their service rather than their marketing efforts (that's my job)!!
Anyone else into local marketing? Any tips?
