That point when you think you should give up.....

I remember in the training Kyle mentioned that somewhere around the 3 month mark you might consider giving up. Well.....I am at the 3 and a half month mark.

I have to say "I'm not ready to give up".

I'll be honest, I've made a whopping $3.22. Of course I was hoping to have more income to show for my work at this point, but these things take time. If this was a "get rich quick" community, then there's a good chance that I wouldn't have two websites up and running, with my views/impressions growing slowly but surely.

So, here's the cheerleader in me coming out, DON"T QUIT!

Why would turn your back on untapped potential when you've come so far already? I know I won't turn my back, I suggest you don't either. I don't want to look back and wonder "What if?"

What if you gave up now and you were on the brink of success, of reaching your goals, of making your life and your family's life better? What if you were one post away from getting those readers you've been writing for this whole time? What if?

I have a hate-hate relationship with the "What ifs" in life.

Here comes the cheerleader again:

Keep you head up! And......

T----T R U---T R U C K Keep on truckin' all the way!

My challenge to myself is to see this become a success, to keep plugging away, and to not give up. I hope you will give yourself the same challenge.

We don't want the what ifs to come and bite us in the............

Many Thanks~

Lindsey

Keep truckin' Lindsey! I understand the discouragement - I just had this conversation with my fiancee and he encouraged me to quit watching the stats but just think of a new post or page per day as success. Control what we can control. Just keep persevering - it will pay off someday! ...Right? It has to... right? ;o)

Yes, it has to. No doubt about it! I agree to focus on the content and not the stats, I'm going to try that going forward.
Thank you,
Lindsey

Keep working at it Lindsey! You have invested your time and energy already, and as we have all read and had the reminder this does not happen overnight. I am into my second month and I know I will more than likely get some frustration as well, but I can be one persistent and stubborn S.O.B. (so I have been told in a loving way by my wife). After all, any successful person did not get that way very quickly and had to invest hard work and time. Keep us posted, you will reach your goals.
Mike

Thank you Mike, I'm going to lean on my persistence and bull-headed attitude to push through. I appreciate the support.
Lindsey

I love reading posts like this. It is a great reminder to myself to keep going! Thank you for the reminder! It's only a matter of time!

A little push to keep going. I post these as a reminder to myself that I'll reach my goals if I keep working at it. I appreciate that fellow WA family members feel the same way sometimes. We're all in this together.
Lindsey

It's always good to remember on low days that it takes time to become successful

Agreed Gordi, the low days will hopefully make us work harder.
Lindsey

Hey Gordana,
My dad always taught that people never see the failures of successful people.
Best Regards,
Jim

So very true, Jim. I've actually read stories of very successful people who were turned down time and time again. Just imagine if Tesla, Einstein and others gave up the first time they "failed"???

Whoa. That's a good post for me today (personally, nothing to do with marketing!!!). Most things you read you can apply to life quite easily. Change a few round a few words to suit yourself and it works.

I'm English so this made me smile!

"Keep you head up! And......

T----T R U---T R U C K Keep on truckin' all the way!"

My most recent site I paid for on a credit card. I spent like £300.00 in total, but I was broke. I was working 45 hours a week on minimum wage. After work I spent like 5 hours a day on my site (well, mostly looking at my screen...what do I do?). 1 month...2 months...3 months...ahhh man this is so hard.

I made nothing until month 6. Nothing. £0.00.

I think I'm 10 months on from my first £1.00 and I've made nearly £45,000 total. The site now makes £200+ a month on autopilot. I'm here to boost it a little.

The tools are here. If you have the work ethic you obviously have, couple that with a niche/product you enjoy/are proud to promote that has good commissions, you'll do great.

Good luck!

That's amazing! I hope to be able to say the same thing someday. It may take longer than we all anticipate, but as long as we don't give up, we will get there. I'd hate for myself, and everyone here at WA to quit when we can and will reach our goals.
Thank you for sharing your story, it's very motivating!
Lindsey

I probably should of added I was broke because I got no funding of any kind (I think everyone else in the UK does!). I went to University for 2 years, £15,000 in debt and had to quit because I couldn't afford it.

You need to use this as a platform. Think of it as the way I interpreted your post. I adapted it to my day and it made more sense. Guys at Twitter will always want to build Social Media Platforms, Google Guys want Search engines. So you take something you learn and you transfer it into something you love and it always make more sense.

Hey Lindsay,

This is a wonderfully encouraging post that hopefully serves to help us all push forward. Thank you for sharing.

I saw a quote the other day that really motivated me:

Work Hard
Make Your Own Luck
Believe Anything is Possible

We can all do this and will do it if we simply follow the training and implement what we learn.

Best Regards,
Jim

That's right Jim! We can do this, if we weren't determined we would have given up a long time ago.
Thanks for sharing that quote, inspiration will get us through the rough times.
Lindsey

As a side note, apologies for spelling your name wrong.

That's funny, I didn't even notice. Thanks for apologizing though ;)
LindsEy

Yeah, baby....love the poster....have one in my office...lol We old boomers can't get enough of that stuff.

What??? You've made 3 bucks??? I'm insanely jealous...really. You're at least two leaps ahead of me...my site is still simmering on the stove.

Did you get some good tips from the WA critiquers? Hope so. Maybe it's time to kick back, put your feet up and let it rest for a bit. Most times the answers come to you in the silence.

Ok, do you see this? This is me with my pom poms cheering you on....if that graphic image doesn't make you fall out....well, other action will have to be taken by GrannyGator....lol

Wishing you the best,

Suz

Thanks Suz, that made me smile. We all need a personal cheerleader sometimes. And, I do like the silence too, crazy combination, right?
Thanks for cheering me on, I needed a little boost.
Lindsey
p.s. Don't be too jealous of my $3, that won't even buy me a gallon of gas these days ;)

$3 is Chump change...ummm, I think not. At least yours is not still in limboland....you are OUT THERE, girl! Congrats...that move is brave and worthy of much praise. I promise I will bite the bullet and get mine done soon....shoot, I'm an oldster...better get this show on the road!

Anytime you need a boost, just stop by GrammyGator's...open 24/7, just like Denny's.

Ok, gotta do some work now. Keep on truckin', baby!

Suz

Yeah - get to work! We won't get where we want without work (that's a lot of W's).
I'll take you up on getting a boost from GrammyGator's when the time comes.
Thanks again Suz,
Lindsey

Ah, Suz, if yours still simmering on the stove, I envy you! Mine don't even ready yet, I'm still in the chopped & dice phase kinda thing.. :-)

@Gusti...still slicing and dicing, huh? Heehee Yeah, I'm still doing alot of that, too. Man, this is gonna be a killer dish when we finish it, right? Yeah, that's the ticket....keep simmering and tasting til you get it just so....

@Suz : I think I'm a bit OCD.. :-((

@Lindsey : yeah, 2wg5w= we won't get where we what without work. Super!

I can't wait forever

We're all right on the edge, which is why we keep on working and stay persistent. I can't wait forever either, but we won't have to if we keep going and don't give up.
Lindsey

Thanks, I needed this today and I hit my three month mark this week. ;)

It gets a little frustrating sometimes, right? We can't give up on ourselves yet. Thank you!
Lindsey

And when you passed that quitting moment, you can just have a good laugh about it. :)

Agreed. This will all be worth it!
Thank you,
Lindsey

Wait. I don't understand the word "quit". I have deleted it in my dictionary. :)

Nice! We don't need that word anymore anyway. No good word would make you stop on your way to success!
