If y'all haven't checked out NetworkedBlogs.com yet, I suggest you take a peek. It reminds me of Google Alerts, but gives you the opportunity to follow blogs, be them in your niche or not. I have my two sites set-up there so others can follow me as well.
All you need to do is Register a Blog, then a simple copy and paste of HTML into a widget on your site and your are done and verified. This will place a small ad-like widget on your home page, when peeps follow your blog, their pics will show in this box (like FB).
Once you've added yours, look around for some others to follow. If you find me, please follow and I shall follow you back. Or, if you're already registered here, please let me know and I will track your blog down and add you to my "following" list.
