Sitting Back and Looking Back.
i just wanted to take a moment and sit back for a little while.
You know, take a break from writing, editing, designing, doing research, and everything else we do inside the community. Although there really isn't a break because right now I'm still brainstorming and trying to come up with new ideas for my next article.
I guess what I really mean is I just want to sit back and observe things that are happening around me, and to look back at what I've created during my time here at WA.
I must say, it feels good. :)
I'm still amazed at how much newcomers join everyday. Do you guys ever notice that? It seems there are thousands of new members everyday. You're probably even thinking of yourself as one of these new members. I still call myself pretty new. There is much to learn and there isn't enough time in the day to learn everything, or write about everything.
I even started recording ideas thru voice memos while I'm driving since I can't write while I go to work.
It's been awesome so far.
Before finding out about WA, I've always told myself that I want to write again but never really got into it. I've written a little bit, even got myself a journal to inspire me more. Not even 3 months and I stopped writing again.
Somehow I know that WA won't be a 3-month term this time.
I've created a vision, a mission, and goals for myself. I've decided what my "Why" is in my writings.
It just feels good to put something out there that's a part of me, free from judgment from most, if not all, people.
The pay-it-forward system works. It may be called something different by others, but the essence of helping one another and pulling one another to reach their individual goals is just marvelous.
I wish people were like that in the real world.
Anyways, this blog post turned out into a rant. My apologies if you read this far but thank you for your time.
Keep writing. Keep your goals in sight. We WILL do this!
Cheers to all!!
“We don’t read and write poetry because it’s cute. We read and write poetry because we are members of the human race. And the human race is filled with passion. And medicine, law, business, engineering, these are noble pursuits and necessary to sustain life. But poetry, beauty, romance, love, these are what we stay alive for…..Answer. That you are here – that life exists, and identity; that the powerful play goes on and you may contribute a verse…. What will your verse be?” – John Keating, Dead Poets Society(1989)
