It depends on the social buttons. I've used social button plugins before that really slow down load time. Right now, I'm using the ones that came with my theme, and those do not slow the load time.

I haven't got a slow loading time Rizzer, I am just trying to avoid it happening, It might be better to have 3 small interlinked quick loading sites than one big lagging one then, I reckon, good idea or mot?
I understand your happy with your load time but there is always room for improvement and you'd be surprised whats going on that you don't know about on your website :)
Slow loading sites are a nightmare, people on super fast connections build this resource hungry beasts that look like a pinball machine but wonder why everybody else on a slower connection clicks off instead of waiting 5 mins for the thing to load.
Google wont deal with slow sites, visitors will never see them but I do sometimes like to run the really bad ones through a load speed checker, just for my own amusement of coarse!.
Every element on a web page causes a slight slow down, some of the worse are where they have to fetch images before your page loads.
With a bit of coding you can sometimes change the order that things load to solve problems but if your careful not to overload pages and do things like make your images the right size BEFORE slapping them on a page it can really help.
Unsurprisingly Adsense can cause a lot of lag with websites sometimes for a number of reasons (Google, need I say more).
For testing load times and identifying problems you can use online tools such as http://www.webpagetest.org/ which breaks down every element by load time and file size along with giving lots of other information about your page/post loading process.
My page load times were severely affected by having a widget containing multiple Amazon widgets. Once I got rid of these, I was able to return to the less than 1 second load speed.

How come all the banners all over the internet look like old bazooka joe bubble gum wrappers, or badly draw hand drawn maps, the kind you get in India? there doesn't seem to be
reviews....shmews, think how many there are out there, try and think of a different approach to promoting products....a story or anecdote, give the Google monster something to chew on instead of swallowing all the reviews whole like it does.

I wonder why the affiliate companies don't help you with more to write about their products besides the banners?
Perhaps I will have go the whole hog, with foghorn leghorn saying .. "I say.... I say ...buy this boy."
Not the same ads ThomasPaul, but the same style of banner/cheap looking crappy ads as you call them, almost child like in appearance.
It doesn't say much for peoples intelligence, taste or the kind of customers that are out there, that's all I'm saying.

I leveraged the build your own website video by kyle to add to my create e website page, this directed you to a page that gave access to all of the lessons. is this the norm? as

There are two affiliate link usually. One leads to the course page and the other one leads to the lesson page. Maybe you used the one for the course page.
Keep in mind if it's a premium only lesson, then those aren't meant for free visitors and starter members so I don't think they would see the specific lesson page (not sure). So it could be that they were redirected to the course page instead.
mmm it does seems an odd one Melanie as you would think that leveraging the link would only direct you to the specific video content you are trying to access. give it time and I am sure someone on here will know, there seems no shortage of support.
