Over 3 months and not a single referral
Hi guys!
Its been over 3 months since I joined WA premium membership. It's been really amazing. I've learned a lot, created my first internet site, and I'm writing about stuff I'm passionate about.
The niche I chose is really not a profitable one, that is why I try to use extremely subtle ways to incorporate affiliate links. Moreover, profit wasn't by far my first goal when going down that road.
But since it's been over three months and I haven't made a single cent, I'm starting to think I'm doing something wrong. I am only using affiliate links. I tried adding Google Ad sense to my site, but they disapproved it.
I always spent quite some time searching for key words and I normally go with some "low hanging fruits" ones. My posts are also quite long (typically around 1000 - 1700 words), I use a lot of photos and quotes to keep it as vivid and interesting as possible, and a receive good feedback and comments.
But the traffic I get is really low - all together I've had 168 sessions by 120 different users in 3 months. I'm using most of the social medias to spread the word, I even follow "Checklist for AFTER Publishing Content" but simply can't get traffic.
So I'm starting to believe that some niches just aren't interesting enough to attract a lot of traffic or to bring any kind of income. I'm I right?
However, I won't give up on my passion but I might have to give up on idea that I'll be able to make some extra money with it.
If any of you have any suggestions or comments on how to make nonprofitable topics such as environmental issues, helping others, etc. at least a bit profitable, you're more than welcome to do so via comment form.
Warm regards, MP

It takes time to get established and three months is not really established. I have been here 3 yrs as of next month and just received my first big commission from WA. Be patient and keep following the training. It will all come together in time. Debbie

MP I really feel for ya. I too have an open heart for environmental issues and helping others. But for starting on here I chose to create my website based on my music hobby of playing the drums since there are plenty of instruments out there for sale that I can make product reviews on. It's been just over a month for me and not a single cent, but I'm keeping a positive outlook!
My advice for you is to consider creating a digital product. You can google how to do this. You can create either an ebook or an online course that informs or teaches people about whatever you are passionate about. Just make sure that if you decide to create an ebook that you target a specific niche and not make it too broad. If there's something you're really knowledgeable about that could help people, people are willing to pay for that!
