What Do I Have To Say Anyway?

Well, not much really. If you really were to ask me I might just grunt a reply. I prefer to just observe and not let people know how little I actually know.

I remember the saying: "Better to be mute and thought a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt", that may have come from Benjamin Franklin. I don't watch news and sports and political stuff that don't make a difference to me right now.

I am out in the world working everyday with people from all levels of physical, financial, economical, spiritual, political, demographic, and intellectual mindsets. Each of them is surely more versed and focused on what is important to them. To me it's interesting but not usually beneficial or dangerous to my mind or my way of living.

What is important to me is keeping the people around me content.

I do not really like confrontation very much. I am not a skilled debator. I am not going to try tell you what to do. I would rather show you. I am not here to sell stuff. Just share.

My politics lean very much towards what is best for everybody, not just me. So, I vote for the best one, not the popular one.

We all make mistakes, and I have made many.

Just like Thomas Edison who learned thousands of ways not to make a light bulb, I have created a quality, successful construction business learning what not to do.

So, here I am trying something that is not comfortable to me. I am opening myself up a little and sharing myself with others in a thing called a "blog". Which to me is almost like something someone would but in a private journal maybe.

My personal constitution just didn't have time for social things like Facebook, and such. Until recently, it was my theory that Facebook and social media things are for people who don't have to put food on the table.

But now I need help, support, and encouragement from people I know.

I am out of my element and in an unfamiliar landscape. The road signs don't make sense half of the time. I, trying not to show it, anquish about my own innability to grasp instructions and guidance that others wisk thought like nothing.

Now I am reaching out, and I am getting much of that from people I know and trust through this kind of medium. Some from new contacts. Of course, some say run away, but many say "you might regret not at least giving it your best shot". If anything that is something that rings true to me. I have had many opportunities and passed them up. Some I regret not trying.

My Father Said

The easiest way was not to try something new.

Follow the herd. Be and average guy. But I watched him start a successful business from scratch. I watched him forge through seemingly hopeless situations and come out good. Really what do I have to lose?

In the picture above you will see my beatiful wife and her mother that i just adore. Both have been my rock and foundation and I am determined not to let them down. I strive to be a good man. A good husband and father. And a good son-in-law.

I Am Not Doing This To Get Rich

Being rich is about a quality of life. Money cannot buy richness. Family and/or friends sitting around a table or fire eating a pizza without worrying about what the rest of the world is doing...that is rich. Not being freaked out about money and health problems everyday...that is rich. Things like that. I am already rich.

But It Would Be Nice To Work Less

We want to experience some adventures together, and have a little more time to enjoy eachother more. We have a belief in our abilities and a vision of what our future could be. Of course, there are no guarantees.

Working to put food on the table everyday is not the vision we are pursuing.

So, I am going outside of my box once again. I am taken a path I have not taken before. A path not tread by many. Going to see where it goes.

My Blog

I am supposed to write thousands of words but I think I will save some for later.

I am supposed to do this at least weekly. Well, it only takes an hour or so...but I may run out of things to share.

So there it is...my blog. Take it or leave it.

Hey Marlo

It's never easy to open up as you are expected to do particularly if your natural dispensation is to be quiet and work diligently from behind. So let me congratulate you on taking this first step. You did well for a first time. Remember the same challenges you face are similarly encountered by millions upon millions of others. If you are authentic in your storytelling you will have people gravitate towards you. Wishing you well as you continue forward.
