Whenever I have felt down and low, uninspired, lethargic. What has happened?
Its normally when something stressful has happened which has knocked me off my perch. Disrupted the flow of feeling balanced. First the exercise stops, which then leads craving of healthy foods to disappear. In come the fried foods, pastries, any type of refined sugar products. Let's add some alcohol to that, which always goes better with a cigarette or two.
Hey presto! The full package of bad habits has come to the rescue. Or so it seems.
I know full well these things are not the answers, but they will do for now, but now never seems to end.
The downward spiral has begun and it is accelerating fast.
I have been down this path many times over the years, does any of this ring a bell with you?
My rebound back to health normally starts when I start to hit rock bottom, and the long climb back up the spiral seems daunting and such a long way up that I can't see the top.
I do know one thing from memory, if I can get down the gym, go for a jog, that first time, I feel better already. It makes it so much easier to get the second one done. The third time comes easier. I'm back on track.
For me, it's that easy, the difficult part is going back the first time. I look in the mirror and think jeez you have let yourself go, will I ever get back to where i was before.
The answer is yes, and it is all down to perspective.
I like to think of life in this way. I imagine a problem being in the centre of a wheel (the cog) and each spoke coming out of the wheel shows a different perspective. I imagine each spoke has a telescope i can look through showing me a different way of solving a problem. I spin the wheel and keep looking down each spoke until I find the solution, the answer i was looking for, the one that resonates.
So what happens to the mind when the exercising starts. Something happens, some kind of endorphins are released and things start to look up, i have a spring in my step, I start to feel different.
My next visit to the supermarket is the first sign, l'm going to different sections, fruits, vegetables, etc.
This is all good, now my mind starts to crave information, audio tapes, books, videos of things people have done in order to heal themselves, to go within where the wisdom is waiting to be realised.
I find out that there is nothing outside that can make me happy. Material things, relationships, job, where i'm living etc.
None of these matter if i'm not good inside, not happy with myself.
The old saying "If you don't love yourself, how can you love anyone else" to me is a wise saying.
I believe we are not alone and we have our spiritual guides in waiting to help, but first we must ask. The law of the universe works in this way. We have free will and our guides cannot interfere unless we ask them. Help is at hand.
We have a team that has got our backs, we just need to utilise that team.
First on the agenda is our vibration, Where's it at? Low, Medium, High?
Remembering the laws of attraction, we attract the same vibration we are at.
Got some beef with someone? Want to get them back somehow? Or maybe just think about them for a while and go through how much you don't like them for what they did. No prizes for guessing what vibration you have given yourself.
You must forgive everyone and everything for what they have done to you, and also forgive yourself. Very important on the journey of raising your vibration.
Every bad thought you have goes out and comes right back at you tenfold.
You are poisoning yourself, slowly but surely.
After all, don't we all want to be forgiven? We didn't really mean it did we? But how can we expect to be forgiven if we are not prepared to forgive others. What makes us so special and above judgement.
Judge and you will be judged, you've probably heard that before, because it's true.
In this website, I will be making a compilation of both fitness ideas, accompanied by ideas to improve the mind and raise the vibrations.
It is an ongoing challenge for all of us, me included, but we need to realise there is a need for this before we can go down this path.
I hope you will join me and we can go down this path together.
