Here is just a little trivia I picked up in my travels.

Did you know that a new born baby can drink and breath at the same time until they are 7 months old?

Our brains can generate more electricity impulses in a day than all the telephones around the world combined. ( I just can't fathom that.)

There is enough carbon in our bodies to make 900 pencils.

During an average life time the human heart pumps 182 million litres of blood.

Women's hearts beat faster than mens.

We lose 80% of our body heat from our head. ( so thats why my mom was always saying " Put on your hat! " ).

The only spot on our body that isn't supplied with blood is our cornea. It receives oxygen straight from the air. ( Yup sure didn't know that one ).

The average person doesn't remember 90% of their dreams.

People with blue eyes are more sensitive to pain.

Women blink 2 times less than men. ( How'd they figure that one out? )

Did you know a 4 year old asks about 450 questions a day? ( you do if you've ever had a 4 year old )

During your lifetime you will swallow 8 small spiders.

A cold can be caused by 1 of 100 different viruses.

I'm having a hard time with this one. The surface area of a human lung is approximatly equal to the area of a tennis court.

The facial hair of a blonde man grows faster than a man with dark hair.

Can you guess what the strongest muscle in the human body is? I asked my kids this and they knew it. I sure didn't. ( Yup your right it's your tongue )

The rate a persons hair grows doubles during an airplane flight. ( who does these studies any ways? )
