Obviously traffic generation is an entirely different world and certain parameters must be met... So as far as normality, I will leave you with this... Can you post a link so we can see? With 42 posts, you should be seeing some traffic, if the quality of your content and your target keywords are good.
However, since some of your posts are only 450 words long, I suspect that low volume of content is one contributing factor to having no traffic. Post a link here and I can check out what you have so far, or you can PM it to me (but posting publicly would benefit everyone who reads this question!)
