SEO and backlinks
Backlinks, #1 factor in google ranking
I've been enjoying WA and I have learned a lot, but I like to confirm everything I learn by looking for answers in many places. Soon into the training I could see that SEO was the key to getting traffic so I set to research SEO and get all information I could. And did I learn a lot.
In building a website with authority on search engines that ranks high you need backlinks on websites that already have authority to gain trust from the search engines and rank your site high too. This is probably the most important factor google uses to rank search resuts.
How does a new site aquire backlinks? The simple answer is with relavent and informative content. So in getting backlinks its good to look at sites relavent to your niche.
What are backlinks? When there is a link on another site leading to your site, thats a backlink. Google basically sees that as a vote for your site and gives it better rankings as your site is more trusted when others back it up.
I was thinking that maybe Kyle or someone could include backlinks in an SEO course as they have been very helpful to me. I ranked my site in google maps number one in an evening! Maybe sites from wealthy affiliate that have authority could help out some new guys with a backlink or two.
