Don't Quit
I just wanted to share something Kyle wrote me in an E-mail the other day. I realize that everything he and Carson have sent me in the last week or so since I joined up has been pre-written but nonetheless this particular message happened to address directly certain concerns that I have been expressing in my various postings here. My concern, based on certain previous experiences, is that I will put a great deal of time and effort into this endeavor and not have it prove profitable. Kyle told me about his first few months as an affiliate marketer and how he got no sales at all until the third month. He talked about how it was important not to give up after those first two months. I understood that. Although I am nervous about the results I am determined to give this at least a year. Kyle said he was making a steady income within six months and making a living within a year. The most important thing he said though was, "Out of all the people I have worked with over the last 10 years, I have never seen someone fail that didn't quit." For some reason I think that is not just salesmanship, it is a literal statement of fact. That makes me feel very good and gives me great confidence. This will work, even for me. Every single person who has stuck to the program and continued working at it has, eventually, been able to earn a living. It will not be wasted time and effort. That's a good thing to know.
By the way, Kyle also mentioned that his wife recently gave birth to their first child, a liitle girl named Scotland, so congratulations to them both.

I think some people expect to join WA and start earning thousands in the first month? It would be nice but we have to be realistic, if we're only doing 2 hours a day on our website, then naturally we will be waiting a long time before we see a return on our work/money. Currently I'm doing 8-10 hours a day because I am determined to better myself and make a better future for my family. With WA being such a large community then naturally enough some messages we receive from Kyle and Carson are automated, they wouldn't have that much spare time. I'm pleased for you that you received a personal message from Kyle and the very best of luck for your future here at WA.
I didn't mean to imply it was a personal message, it was prewritten trying to get me to upgrade. It just happened directly to address certain concerns I have expressed here. I'm in real estate so I know all about waiting months on end for a pay day. I have also had the experience of losing tens of thousands of dollars on a deal, despite my best efforts. One thing I definitely like about WA is the fact that the capital outlay is minimal and easily met from other sources.
I am willing to put 15-20 hours a week into this right now. If it proves lucrative, I will do more. One thing Kyle mentioned in his message was the lifestyle he has attained. That struck a chord with me. I'm not interested in putting 60-80 hours, or more, into pretty much anything. I know that that is how the Thomas Edisons and Henry Fords and Bill Gateses and Elon Musks of the world achieved what they did but I want to be able to have time to spend with my wife and my friends and to read interesting books and attend plays and concerts. So, if this proves lucrative and I wind up doing it full time, great, but there has to be time actually to enjoy the fruits of my labor.

I love the words of encouragement from the emails. It gives me the drive to keep working. I especially love the quote "I have never seen someone fail that didn't quit." Thanks for posting this to remind me to keep working :)
