I've been around Millionaires who were so successful and yet couldn't smile not for a small moment. You're right about how some may have a totally different definition of what success is.

I also met someone who hardly made any money but his personality was so bubbly, that he nearly bounced off the walls.

Being happy in this life is a great success without having a significant amount of money.

Totally agree! We have to define our own meaning of success. What may be great for one may not work for another. We all need to do what makes us happy!! :-)

After we have acquired a certain amount of possessions, we are not as motivated to keep getting more and more. However, others are never satisfied and are impressed by ever more conspicuous consumption.

So true and I think somebody else also said a million dollars only buys you a better quality of misery!

Having my family free from ills, a roof over my head and food in our tummies is what I define success. Anything else that comes along is a bonus and I am working hard to get that 'something extra' so we can be free of worry :)

Being wealthy enough to host my whole family from around the world in one house. Eat at a big table, and laugh all day that's success to me
