Facebook Scam!
Usually I do something insightful/inspirational because that is who I am. This morning changed my blog for today!!!
This morning my husband and I were apart of a Facebook Scam. I was curious how many others have been through the same thing?
My husband opened his Facebook to find a message from his grand mother. The conversation read,
His Grandmother: "Hello,How are you doing?I just want to ask if you have heard about the good news lately?
My husband: "Im am doing well nanny and I havent heard about the good news".
His grandmother: "So you haven't heard about the 2014 empowerment program in conjunction with Facebook Active user Compensation bonus?Have you gotten any bonus money from Joseph yet?"
My husband: "No I haven't and I havent heard of that"
His grandmother: "I thought you have received yours from them too because i saw your name on the winners list when the Express Parcel delivery service came to my door step to deliver cash to me in person"
My husband: "No ma'am I havent received it yet".
"How much did you get"
His grandmother: "i got $150,000.00 cash delivered at my door. If you haven't got yours,You need to contact Joseph the agent in charge now on he's Facebook homepage and tell him you're ready to claim your money https://www.facebook.com/Josephclark23192 Click on the link and send him friend request. Tell him i told you about your name on the list of winners and you ready to claim your money.His online now"
(We looked it up at this point. Too good to be true thing. Sure enough!)
Husband: "Just out of curiousity what is my mothers name?"
His grandmother: "sally"
(This is wrong by the way thats his step mom. His grandmother would know the difference. His mom does not have a Facebook. So he has his step-mom as mom till she gets a Facebook.)
We knew this was not his grandmother and that someone had hacked her page at this point.
We knew we had them caught. By the way that link does go to a real person. Not sure what their association is with the whole scheme. We do know it is a scam!! Figured I would let you know what people are doing now to get your money. Sad!!
I hope this saves someone. I have heard now that peoples banking and there life savings are just gone. No trace of them!!! Some have been found but most are just gone.

That's messed up. Thank you for spreading the word about that scam and I hope your husband's grandmother was not negatively affected by that incident.
Thanks for the alert, that is so horrible that people play and abuse the system and mess with peoples lives like that. Glad you guys were astute and didn't fall into the trap.
