Hi, I'm trying to move my hosting from WA to Hostgator. I have changed my nameservers and uploaded my backup into the site (using FileZilla), and this is now showing on my site
Why do I get wa placeholder page, after moving my content?
Hi, I'm trying to move my hosting from WA to Hostgator. I have changed my nameservers and uploaded my backup into the site (using FileZilla), and this is now showing on my site
Looks like it's just a default place holder page that is in the template. Because it's just text and it came from WA it'll show that no matter where you move the site. Seems like you need to remove that page inf your FTP. Try navigating to that file path and removing it.
I´m going to make a squeeze page so I can start building an email list. But I don´t know what to offer in return, so people want to sign up. I´m going to sell handmade photo jew

You can get started with Aweber for just $1 for the first month. Really good option to try out and see if it works for you. Gives you time to build your list and make some money.
If its handmade photo jewelry you can offer them certain techniques on how they can make them or improve their skills. But what you really want is what steveo said...which has to be something related to your niche.
The site is about selling them jewelry I have made and not how they can make their own, but thank you for the suggestion. But what if I gave them some photo tips (since I´m selling photo jewelry), or do you think that´s not enought related, since it´s really about people bying jewelry?.. :)
Sounds like you may want to use an auto responder to capture the emails of subscribers. You can give people an opportunity to subscribe to a news letter with tips that may interest people within your niche.
Thanks for responding. I think I will do it manually until I can pay for Aweber. I thought about news letter as you mention, but I get stuck about what to write.. It would be easier if I had an information subject, but struggle since it is a product..
You don't need to write fancy articles. If you product is of a visual nature, you can send a quick note to invite people back to your site to see the latest (whatever you've created recently). I'm on few mailing lists were the owners link back to their sites and I often go to see what they're up to :)

Like mwd21 said, you can use mail chimp for free so that is probably the way to go for you right now. You don't want to send email out to people who haven't requested it so using mail chimp will take care of that for you:)
