Flat Rate Shipping within Australia

I've been doing a bit of research trying to find flat rate shipping solution within Australia. I found this, and thought I would share in case others find it useful https://www.wizme.com.au . WizMe seem to offer great prices, the only thing is you need to purchase their boxes (they will soon have satchels too apparently). Boxes seem cheap. Anywhere from 500g up to 25kg. The most expensive shipping seems to be $16 plus the purchase of the box. No contracts or anything.

My main problem still is how to ship slightly larger items, but for the meantime I think WizMe might solve my problem.

Anyone got any other suggestions for flat rate shipping within Aus?

Not sure about Aus. In the US the normal Post Office does flat rate shipping and provides free boxes. But like you mentioned with the WizMe the boxes won't hold anything of significant size.

Hi Ron, Yep totally agree - flat rate shipping is an issue for larger items with WizMe and generally all other couriers and Australia Post.

The shipping can sometimes cost 5 times or more than the item especially for remoter areas. Even after managing to negotiate a pretty good rate with TNT here (who by the way have been bought out by FedEx recently).

Anyways, we've decided to transition to predominantly online sales so planning to ditch the larger items (except for local delivery...maybe) and add some newer smaller products to our range.

Sounds like excellent ideas. I wish you the best.
