Ramadhan 2024
That time of the year has come around again, and even more quicker, it seems.
I just wanted to share with you a very important month for us Muslims around the world. From tomorrow, UK, USA, and UAE will begin our fasting and for all the other countries, it will begin on Tuesday.
If you are not familiar, and I am pretty sure that many of you are, this is a holy month where Muslims across the world observe strict fasting from sunrise to sunset for 29/30 days. That's no eating or drinking. Itβs a time where we better ourselves, focus on prayer and connect ourselves with god.
During this time, the act of fasting allows us individuals to understand the pain and suffering of the millions of people around the world facing poverty, and towards the end of the month, we give charity.
This year, personally for me and for all Muslims, it's going to be a hard and emotional one because our thoughts will remain with the Palestinians. Those are the people that will be praying even with the airstrikes and fasting with nothing to break their fast with. They will be thinking about prayer not knowing if they'll even live to see another night.
I will be on here on and off and working on my website as much as I can as this is a livelihood for me and my family future but my main focus will be on Ramadhan first.
I wish you all well, in health and wealth, take care β€οΈπ

Thanks, Jeff, I do too. We've already completed one and soon it'll be a week and then the next, before we know it, it's almost the end π₯

Hi Minara,
Thanks for sharing! I wasn't sure what the Ramadhan tradition was. My husband, being of Catholic faith, observes a little bit different tradition of not eating meat on Fridays until Easter. I'm not sure how long before Easter they start it though. I guess I should know this, but... ππ€¦ββοΈ
Take care, Minara!

No worries at all, there's a lot that we don't know about each other's faith but the main thing is that we respect one another, regardless of faith and beliefs. Take care too! π
Yes, I agree! Repecting one another regardless of faith and beliefs is key!
