I was just thinking how similar WA is to other social media. I know a lot of people that live on facebook, instagram, pintrest and so on sharing pictures, thoughts, news and so on. I do use social media outside of this community quite a bit too. The difference is, when I am hanging out in this community, I am sharing more valuable information, learning, making friends and spending time with like minds. Isn't it great that at the end of this all, we make some money. I couldn't say that about facebook or instagram before WA, but now I know like you do, that we can monetize those outlets too.

Different people have different experiences with WA. If you are actually making money then hanging out at WA is not much of an option. I don't look at WA as social media. I see it as a cash cow for the owners. In fact that is the purpose of any business. I enjoy WA but to me it is more of a club or high school support group. I find Kyle to be a stand-up guy. I respect his education and competence.
I do agree with you. Different people have different experiences here. I love to spend time at my site, and when I'm not doing that, i love to spend time here getting to know the community a bit. I feel I've learned a lot through this interaction since I see the people here as "like minds".
But in agreeing with you I believe WAers need to learn to balance and prioritize their activities here too. That way you get the best of both worlds. Thanks so much for your comment, see you around.
