Graduation from Emerging Leaders!
As I reflect back on going through Emerging Leaders through the SBA I look at how many people are not willing to do the work to start a business. They want one in their head, but won't do the work to make it successful. I was asked to speak at graduation and to collect the thoughts on what to say I had to clearly define why I was wanting my own business and what it meant to me. Here's what I concluded:
1. I had not clearly defined what my business does
2. I solved a problem, but it was not cookie cutter and neither was the class so you had to make it applicable to you.
3. The teacher used a lot of old school methods and that worked for his business, but not for mine.
4. Nothing happens by coincidence so the network of people alone is worth the time dedicated.
5. There was a lot of people looking for my success, so ask for help!

Consultant, I want to do webinars, corporate retreats, and keynote speaking. Niche, women's leadership, how to get to the next level. Target market women 25-40 professional, who may be looking to cash in on their passion or leave a conventional job all together.
Now you need to network with other women leaders in that endeavor to get smart on women in that category.
