Taking Break for 2 Weeks - Happy New Years - Haven't Seen Sister in 10 Years

What, Why?

So this is a massive excuse-ridden post, so if you're not up for excuses, you can simply pass this one.

However, my sister is down from Germany and the last time I saw her was when she was 9 years old, and she is now 19.

I was 20, and now I am 30.

Most of my time is being devoted to spending time with her, my dad and his fiance, not to writing articles because, surely, these articles can take a back-seat to a very important life event.

I Need A[nother] Break

However, one would argue that time still exists in-between to pump out a couple of articles especially since I can bang them out with relatively swiftly but the whole point of this break is to also offer myself a mental break from what I have realised to be a very mentally fatiguing endeavour that is running a website.

From the amount of time spent obsessing over traffic generation, SEO, the next content piece, how I can improve my site, and on and on and on . . . I mentally can't handle it in this exact current moment.

2018 is Going to be a MASSIVE Year - and I needn't Obsess 100% of the Time.

I have tons and tons of content planned for the new year, and I know my website is going to take off and offer me the lifestyle I want which is to be financially free enough to support my current life to start off with, then ramp up and scale to a comfortable monthly income as the site grows.

When it comes time to take a break I feel as though the break is more beneficial than continuing to obsess and become mentally drained. This way, one can get back to work refreshed and really ramp things up to 120% when the break is over.

Happy New Years and Holidays to All

I hope you guys have been having a great holiday season so far. I also wish everyone the best new year's party of all time!

I see a few people continuing to write throughout the holidays and work on their sites - and that is truly commendable and good for you!

My admittance to taking a break is somewhat shameful as I really know I should never stop writing but this time, I am okay with it.

There's tons of time to ramp things up and cranking out 5 articles a week will be effortless.

Take care guys.

I took a break of sorts, but couldn't stay away completely. We were gone for four days. The trip involved a ten hour trip in each direction.

During the car rides, I wrote a rough draft of one article and outlined another. I didn't do it because I was obsessed with my traffic or ranking, but because it is boring to sit and do nothing for 10 hours. I also had these things straight in my head and if I ignored them for four days, I wouldn't be able to re-create the momentum I had built up to write them.

I also checked my notifications while we were all relaxing and the kids were working puzzles in the evenings. I didn't ignore what was going on in front of me. Like the other adults there, I took my turns joining in the fun. I did not get through my notifications, but I managed to keep the number waiting for me today down to a reasonable number.

I hope that your time with your family is everything you want it to be and more! I respect that you feel overwhelmed at this time and that you need a break. I am sure I will come to a point where I will need to do the same. You deserve a break and I'm glad that you are getting one.

I hope that you come back refreshed and able to work without being overly obsessed with anything.

May 2018 bring you peace, joy, health, happiness, and prosperity! Happy New Year!
