My 11th day as a WA member

I thought I would write a bit about my first 2-weeks as a new member and share a bit about me.

I am an Information Technology manager for a pharmaceutical manufacturing company. I have been in my field for over 20 years, mainly working for/with biotech and drug research companies.

I am very familiar with WordPress, SEO, and to some extent Affiliate Marketing (A term I try to avoid). I have made money online in the past by selling on Amazon, Etsy, and eBay.

I know HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and Node.js. Technically I am very comfortable.

Why Affiliate Marketing?

It’s simple really. There is no inventory to carry, no shipping required. There are many ways to promote products online, and content marketing is only one of them.

I don’t need a large staff to get started or a significant amount of money to invest. All I need is a domain, a host, an audience and the drive to get it done.

I am aware that content marketing takes a long time to see results, but during that time my skills are developed and sharpened. Web Design, on page SEO, off page SEO, writing skills, image editing, and the list goes on.

These are all marketable skills that I can use to make money today, in the now, while the passive income I am trying to create ferments like a fine wine. I am also painfully aware that the fine wine can turn to vinegar. Nothing is guaranteed.

What I did here at WA over the last 11 days

I paid the $19 for the first month. I don’t know if I will stay premium at this point.

I spent time looking through the WA site. I did some lessons and briefly glanced at others, just to get a feel for the training they are offering.

I love the keyword research tool Jaaxy. It is straightforward to use, and the metrics it provides are simple to understand.

I have picked a niche, developed a primary audience persona and have my utility content ready. I also have registered a domain name, and this week I will be working on building the website.

That’s where I am. I am happy to experience WA. I have a little more time to decide if it is for me or not. Either way, I wish you all the very best and hope that we all may find the success we are seeking.
