Good morning, so it is 1:30 am in the morning in Texas and here I am working or at least thinking about working. Question: Anyone out there using Website Content Writers and if so, who are the best quality for the price? Thanks and have a great day.

I don't use them but I am one of them. I started here back in August, found I have a talent (so I am told) and I now write for 3 members here. They were newer members than me and I just made a quick deal to help them out at first as I have to do my own stuff as well. I basically charge them $50/month for up to 22.500 words for the month. They give me the specifics and I send back the finished product within a few days. They all know I won't be doing this forever but they are still keep using me so they are happy lol.

I guess I should really look into what I should be charging, I just wanted my monthly cost o the WA dues and my software licenses to be covered. I need a new tool so I may look for another customer if I can find the guaranteed time.

The only information I could offer is to be very detailed in what you expect. Create clear guidelines and expectations from the start. It makes for a better relationship and a better final product. And even if you do use someone keeps practicing yourself otherwise you will always have that constant overhead.

I find the hardest part is the research on topics I don't thoroughly know so I have to learn and finally the sheer editing of it all. The ideas are super easy and the actual writing is nothing more than sitting down and doing it. I suck at typing and I probably type easy 100,000 words a month and I could do more if I didn't have my medical condition.

I know I didn't really answer your question but I hope there are things in here you can take with you for when you do hire someone or take on the task yourself.

I would say with clear written instructions, you could get someone off Upwork for next to nothing and get amazing content but like everything in this world, you will have to slay a few dragons before finding your princess. Best of luck.

See that's probably close to 380 words right there in about 8 minutes.

Thanks for the info, I'll check it out.

If you are still writing for hire, I definitely need someone to write content for me. Please PM me if you are interested, thanks.

I ended up getting my money back from iwriter because no one would write the articles. $100 in there for over a year and I tried a coutless variety of projects.

If you want a good writer for a good price you will have to go somewhere like Upwork and negotiate in bulk.

For example, offer to pay someone $2 an article for delivering 10 articles a week every week.

You are kidding? Who would write an article for $2? What kind of quality would it be?

I can't imagine that and would not want it. Anyone that quick is in the wrong business.

Yes, I think so.:)

Me, too. I sure wouldn't write for someone else for that, either!

You would be suprised, there are billions of people on earth. Its a good starting offer, of course folks are going to want more money and you will most likly negotiate a higher price and if the quality is cosistintly good you should pay them more but the big thing here is offering consistint work for a writer on a certain topic.

Oh come on...good quality from a person who doesn't respect themselves so much? Though maybe you will be lucky...

Thanks for checking in, looks like I will handle my own unless I get in a pinch.

I clicked like before I read about $2 an article! Now I can’t unlike, haha. If you are happy with the quality you receive for $2, I guess great for you.
Edit, after rereading, I realize that is your starting offer. But still.
I’ve written for textbrokers at between $8-$18 an article and even that is very tough to make work as a writer. Partially because the topics I choose are technical, which involve a lot more research and work.
I’ve decided the only way I can make that work is to write for myself here at WA in a new technical niche.

I paid for a few articles on iWriter and could not have been more disappointed. You do get what you pay for. I felt like all three articles were written by one of those programs where you fill in the blanks on a form and the algorithm mashes an article together. A total waste of money. I had the opportunity to request rewrites with these three articles but chose not to. I am a content writer and just tried to save some time. Doing so cost me more time.

You're welcome, Mike. It takes a skilled writer to zero in on your voice and your brand...not many, if any, can do it as well as you.

Sue

You can search for a writer on LinkedIn by doing a keyword search.

Or go to Fiverr. Do not hire anyone without seeing a sample of their writing. Be prepared to pay fairly well. There are lots of lousy writers looking for clients. The good ones with experience expect a decent wage.

A good one will cost you.

I've been on both ends. I've worked for clients and I hired someone once who wasn't very good. I forgot to ask for a writing sample.

If all else fails you can sign on to a content mill like textbroker.com, there you can pay someone by the word.

If you want good quality you will have to pay. You get what you pay for..

Hi Mike

When I don't have time I get writers to write content for me.. I find the writers on Fiverr.com and you will be looking at anywhere between $20-30 for a 1200-1500 word unique articles. This is for a good quality content.. I have tried cheaper writers in the past and it was a waste of time, they were just spinning the content.

Thanks for the info, I'll check it out.

Mike

Hi and thanks for the info do the writers also include the images and format or do we do the final touches; which is fine. I am just curious..

They don't find images for you..
They don't research keywords ..
You must put the final touches..

Thanks I was curious...Enjoy with final touches...
