How to See if Someone Steals Your YouTube Videos (and How to Stop Them)
When your YouTube channel starts growing, you will likely find that some people steal your content.
Luckily, YouTube has a tool that makes it easy to find out and to get it removed.
In this video, I will show exactly how it works and what you need to consider when using this option.
Let me know your thoughts and experiences in the comments below.

Good morning Mikael
Thank you for a very informative and helpful video, Mikael.
This is a really useful feature, which I didn't know existed!
I just checked my channels and I have nothing showing, which is good news! Although I did have a video about 13 years ago that I had to report, I actually came across it by accident. YouTube quickly took it down when I reported the incident.
I guess when you have so many subscribers, people are much more likely to steal your content.
Wishing you a fantastic day.
Roy
Yes, the bigger your channel gets, the more people will steal your content. But good to see YT taking action so quickly unlike for example Instagram where I have seen people steal my content for months and use it to scam people and even when reporting those accounts nothing happens.
Yes, I can believe that, Mikael! It's good that YouTube are protecting those people who are putting up genuine content.
I couldn't agree more, some of the policies on Facebook and Instagram are terrible. People are being banned for putting a joke up, as it doesn't line up with their terms and conditions!!
All the best.
Roy
Yes, but YT also takes down content sometimes without reason to be honest. That is why we need to diversify as you never really know no matter how much you try to follow their guidelines.
I hear you, Mikael, it seems like all the major platforms have various issues, when it comes to certain content. I know I have to be careful with my news/Christian Channel on YouTube, especially if I'm not going with the mainstream narrative.
Have a good weekend.
Roy
Hey Mikael, sorry that this happened to you. Did they just download your videos as is and use them, or what part of the content is stolen?
That is just plain stupid of people to steal the entire video as is, don't you agree? I mean your face is your IP to begin with, so it is direct IP infringement.
Yes, it is not very smart. But mostly it is beginners who do it that do not know better and in some cases they have even paid money for some kind of crappy course that teaches them this is the way to earn easy money. Sad, but it shows you really have to be careful when buying courses.

Anyone will steal what they can these days and pass it off as their own work Mikael....
