Hey Mikael,
Thanks for sharing this important tip. We usually publish at least one short video per day on all our YouTube channels, and at least one to two long-form videos per week per channel and sometimes a third one.
The shorts always link to a long-form video for more detailed education.
I have been consistently creating 2 videos every week for about 3 months now. My videos are really raw and amateurish with no editing.
That's awesome. The most important is that you got started. Then look at what is working and what is not, and try to keep improving, then you will slowly start growing and growing until it snowballs at some point.
So great ot hear you have been so consistent.
Hello Mikael,
Thank you, Mikael, for talking about a very real subject that I think many of us ask! I agree that consistency is key, as I have probably mentioned before, all the successful Internet marketers that I follow, they are exceptionally consistent, and that includes your good self!
I think one of the problems is that we can all start off with great enthusiasm and sometimes life can get in the way, I know that I'm guilty of that. But realistically, if we are doing this for a business, we need to be consistent. I agree, we are better off to post less and be consistent, rather than trying to post every day and then not being consistent.
I believe that you post most days, Mikael, or at least, six days a week, did you start off posting daily, or regularly when your channel was brand-new? One of the good things is with YouTube is that we can schedule videos, which I find a really useful feature.
I appreciate your tips.
Have a great day.
Roy
Yes, I publish full videos 6 days per week, and then I have also started publishing around 5 short-form videos per week.
And no I did not start with that many at all. I was able to scale it to 3 videos per week when editing myself. And then after I hired an editor I scaled it. But some also do very well with just one video per week, but for most that should be the bare minimum when starting.
Good morning Mikael,
That sounds good, Mikael, especially the fact that you are publishing five short form videos per week. How's that working out, or perhaps you don't know yet?
It's always interesting to hear how different people start their YouTube channel or online business, especially when that successful. It looks like hiring an editor was probably the best thing you have ever done, due to helping to grow your channel.
I'm always amazed how some channels seem to be able to create huge amounts of views in one video, and then perhaps other channels just have 10 or 11 views per video. Once again, I'm sure consistency helps hugely.
Enjoy your day.
Roy
