Hi Ed, I guess you missed this Embed YouTube Video in WordPress Using this method the suggested videos at the end (which can lure your visitors away from your site) will not appear.
Can't you just copy and paste the link on your post? I've done this before but I hope i'm not causing damage by doing it the wrong way or anything.
Are you pasting a link to have people go to youtube or are you embeding the actual video to your site?
When I paste the link on my post, the video just automatically pops up. Could be my theme, but no embedding required. It's like it's done automatically after pasting the link. If you want to know what I'm talking about, you can check out the bottom of one of my posts

Yeah, you're doing it correct. I'm assuming you're putting the link in the 'text' area and not 'visual'. But anyway, your video is there and all is good.
It appears that you have been instructed how to do this, but if you have any questions you know to just ask!

Fhagstorm gave u a link doesn't it work?
Here is another video to check out How to Embed a YouTube Video on Your Web-site Hope that one works and helps!
Sheila
correct. It will show up as a gray square in visual but you can view it when you visit your site
You're very welcome my friend, by the way, you may sometimes notice when embedding a video or even adding a banner on your page or in a sidebar widget that, it seems a bit off center and that doesn't look good.
To fix that, in your text page or wherever you placed the code, do this.
That should fix it up for you
Good luck to you here
