Thanks for asking Ed, I needed to know about this.

You are welcome.
Ed

Hi Ed, I guess you missed this Using this method the suggested videos at the end (which can lure your visitors away from your site) will not appear.

Thank you Marion.
Ed

Thanks Marion

Can't you just copy and paste the link on your post? I've done this before but I hope i'm not causing damage by doing it the wrong way or anything.

Are you pasting a link to have people go to youtube or are you embeding the actual video to your site?

When I paste the link on my post, the video just automatically pops up. Could be my theme, but no embedding required. It's like it's done automatically after pasting the link. If you want to know what I'm talking about, you can check out the bottom of one of my posts

Yeah, you're doing it correct. I'm assuming you're putting the link in the 'text' area and not 'visual'. But anyway, your video is there and all is good.

Nope, the visual area. It could just be my theme but it seems to be working fine

Thank you. Appreciate it.
Ed

Embedding a video to my post.

Thanks, Ed, for asking this question. I learned something new from it, and now I'll use this new-found knowledge.
Barry

You are welcome. I believe adding videos to your site can really improve your site.
Thanks,
Ed

It appears that you have been instructed how to do this, but if you have any questions you know to just ask!
Sheila

No I haven't been instructed on how to add a video, that is why I am asking here.
Ed

Fhagstorm gave u a link doesn't it work?
Here is another video to check out Hope that one works and helps!
Sheila

Thank you Sheila.
Ed

I added it in the text part. And then I go back to visual and work around it.

So you add the html code in the text mode then switch to visual. Correct?
Ed

correct. It will show up as a gray square in visual but you can view it when you visit your site

Yes, You can always use preview to be sure everything are ok after you had done it.

Thank you buddy.
Ed

Thank you.
Ed

Thank you buddy.
Ed

You're very welcome my friend, by the way, you may sometimes notice when embedding a video or even adding a banner on your page or in a sidebar widget that, it seems a bit off center and that doesn't look good.
To fix that, in your text page or wherever you placed the code, do this.

Html code goes here

That should fix it up for you
Good luck to you here

Thanks again.
Ed
