Current Progress Once Agains.
When I began in wealthy affiliate I initially wanted to make this an opportunity to make money as an affiliate. I specifically wanted to do that with the wealthy affiliate affiliate program. In essence it seems like the most logical thing to do.
However, upon going through the training and looking at all the opportunities, most importantly understanding marketing and online marketing more, I decided to go in a completely different direction.
That direction led to getting a job in the traditional marketing world with companies that were providing local marketing for their clients (business.com). I was able to secure a nice paying job where I was basically in front of the computer for 8 hours a day on salary with a lot of free time to read articles, study more within wealthy affiliate and other educational endeavors that I wanted.
Leasing to Local Businesses
This helped me grow pretty well in marketing knowledge. I became pretty content with this as the job income was fairly well for me at that time. I continue to focus on local marketing even after I left the job as I began to build websites for myself to lease to local businesses.
This became very lucrative and certainly kept me at home with my family more indefinitely. It also kept me away from doing the certifications and training for affiliate marketing as I originally signed up for here in WA.
However, to stay educated I continue to go through the courses and make sure that I continue to learn the recent developments and things going on in the industry. Jay's Friday night courses are just wonderful and while I don't make them live, I definitely enjoy the replays.
Coming Back to Affiliate Marketing Baby
As things are coming full circle I am in the desire or mine set to leave the service industry and go more into the affiliate side of things where I can create websites for consumers (web browsers) to give relevant information and at the same time leverage myself with affiliates who have products or services that will aid the consumer in what they need.
This is why I am back going through the certification process again, currently in Level 2 lesson 10 where I am asked to create a blog post within WA.
Now this will probably give WA members many ideas and hopefully it does and more importantly, hopefully, it is all ethical and legal within wealthy affiliate but there are people who still will not go through the process of the certification classes here or anywhere else nor will they go through the affiliate boot camp here or anywhere else.
In short, they are lazy, sorry if that offends anyone. So the idea came to me to offer to build an affiliate website using my own skills and ability just like I used to do with local business owners.
Going through the WA System
I DON’T DO THIS FOR WA members because we all can do this easily, but for people outside who have ideas but need the website but don’t have knowledge skillsets or time to do it on their own.
I do the same for entrepreneurs who want to get into affiliate marketing and need the done for you system created. So I am in the midst of going through this current system to create websites in different niches.
Currently, I am are doing a black history niche to help readers and viewers appreciate some of the black figures who had a radical message during the Civil Rights era and throughout history.
I think it's a great project and the website is off to a great start thanks to the knowledge I have acquired here over the last decade and the tools and software that wealthy affiliate offers us so economically.
Broker the Right Agreements
This is where I am right now and hopefully I can do 10 to 100 more of these as it is a great way to get your affiliate skills going and grow your business at the same time. It's very simple to do for people since we are learning it here and we can broker agreements that are beneficial for us and for potential clients.
Keep the good fight going, my plan and goal are to get this current website to 1,000 visitors unique each month and complete that by the third month; and hopefully reach 5,000 unique visitors each month by the sixth month.
