Hello , hello hello this is an urgent call, can you hear me? I assume you can ,and willing to assist ,just kidding.

I am trying to make my website especially my home page more appealing and inviting. I want to add a background image and a logo , but this thing about html and css has me confuse.

What I need to understand is how to get to my HTML file .I usually go to page source , but what I see showing up is different from what the video is showing.

I tried following the only training class by Jay, but I don't seem to get it ,so can anyone give me a clear and precise way of doing this. Thank you

Hi

See if you theme has an option for a background image in Appearance > Customize. It is not recommended to go in the code if you do not know what you are doing.

Logo and favicon is Appearance > Customize and Site Identity.

You can create a nice logo in Canva dot com.

Thanks for your assistance, most appreciated. I am no computer wiz, so somethings may be a little technical for me , so if you could clear this up for me .am thankful.
I am trying to get a nice photo on my home page that represent my niche .I thought the background image would have shown up like that but what I see is all my blogs on a white background ,and the background image hiding behind. Is that how it should be?

I don't know if this is allowed , but here is a screen shot of my home page.

Hi , Thanks again. I was able to make some headway based on your recommendations. I used a shorter version to add my logo. This might change, as I get more verse on the subject. Instead of using canva, I just uploaded an image logo from google and went into appearance then customized- Header-Site Identity-Add or Change logo, upload and publish. I had to change themes from generate press to twenty sixteen to get to add background and logo,
