Show You Gratitude Eveyday
Last night a friend asked me what my blog would be about and I told them at the time I really did not know. My best inspiration comes in the morning hours and once I sat down to put my thoughts down it came to me. I will write about gratitude.
If you ever stop and think how much we take for granite in the United States I would venture to say it is the rare person that is thankful for what they have. I watched this morning on the early morning news people getting washed away in Louisiana and I was thankful that was not me and I prayed to God for the safety of these people.
I woke up this morning thanking the Lord for another day and the opportunity to go out in the world an "kill it" in whatever I do. Stop and think of the handicapped people that cannot always do what a completely healthy person can do. The older person in a nursing home that cannot do what a healthy person can do, all they can do is spend their final days waiting to pass one.
The past few days I watch the devastation that is going in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and I watch all the people protesting and crying what is owed to them. This life was not designed to be easy. This country was built on hard work, dedication and gratitude for the opportunity to enjoy our freedoms and the opportunity to be able to be whatever it is we want.
When you wake-up in the morning and feel like the world is against you I want you to think about all of those individuals that are less fortunate than you. I want you to remember that you have been blessed to accomplish your goals. Your job is to set those goals and come up with a plan to achieve them. Unhappy with your life? Change it. Oh yes, that is one more gift we are afforded here in the United States. We can change our course and our destiny simply by apply our efforts towards our goals.
I would ask my readers to be grateful for the gifts they have and to apply them to the betterment of themselves and those around them. In other words, be grateful that you have the opportunity to make a difference.
