How Amazing Is WA Site Support!?

Today I discovered another feature I wanted to include on my website so I did a google search to see if there were any WP plugins available that could take care of it for me (I have my categories listed on my custom menu so I wanted the category to be highlighted when someone was on a current post within that specific category).

Google search results were just giving me php codes to add to fuctions.php. I've never heard of this and didn't even know where to begin. I really want this feature so I kept on searching and stumbled upon a plug in that allows you to insert php code into it.

Being the newbie I am, I automatically installed the plugin and pasted the code I found on another blog that promised me the results I was looking for right into the section within the plugin dashboard.

As soon as I clicked save I went over to my website and refreshed it only to receive the white screen of death, giving me some 500 error code.

I freaked out so badly that I was shaking. I immediately went back to my WP dashboard to delete the code and uninstall the plugin but was getting the same screen there too!

Now I was almost in tears!

I turned to Google for help on solving the issue I caused but the results were scaring me even more. I kept reading about how if I didn't back up my website I had to find some FTP file and make some changes. All of this is so foreign to me.

Trying so hard to get myself together and stop shaking, I turned to Wealthy Affiliate's search bar for help (I should realize by now to just start with this).

I seen other people had experienced similar issues in the past and just contacted Site Support. I thought, duh, maybe Site Support can help me.

I pulled my bearings together and wrote to Site Support.

Would you believe that in less than an hour site support not only contacted me, but contacted me to let me know to test it out now.

I was shocked that it could be fixed this quickly and expected to lose some information, settings, etc.

Nope.

Site Support restored my website back to the way it was and I was able to delete the code from the plugin and uninstall it.

My website is back up and running perfectly all thanks to WA Site Support!

Where else can you get such amazing 24 hour website support!? Only here, that's for sure!
