Could someone please, tell me what indicates that someone's website has been ranked by google? Thank you.

I think you got your answer, as you wrote about it in another blog.

Barbara

Good question. The Jaaxy free version that we have on Wealthy Affiliate accessed through Research on the left allows us to check if our website as well as our posts are ranked on the first page of Google, Bing and Yahoo. Only the paid versions will tell us what page we are ranked if it is not on Page 1.

Enter your website or post URL in the Site Rank window and your results will appear. If it is not on Page 1 you will see all zeros.

Google Search Console will also tell you what page it is ranked on Google.

Cheers.

Edwin

Awesome response. Thanks a lot Edwin.

Hey Michael,

If you truly want to know if your website has been ranked, then you would need to use a tool like Moz provides. See screen print below...

However, if you meant to say "indexed" then you could simple search using the following:
site:[your-domain-name-goes-here]
as your search phrase in Google and a complete listing of all your posts and pages that have been indexed by Google will be listed in your search results.

Hope you find this helpful.

You are always so informative
I’ve taken a lot of information from your comments
Thanks
Wanted you to know you help more than you may know

How can I switch a website with a domain name outside the WA to another domain name within the WA. Please, help. Thank you.

Hey Michael,

Please BACKUP your website so that you have EVERYTHING before moving to WA.

Here's what I use to backup my sites with, and have moved sites from one host to another using it too: And here are the nameservers you will need to move your domain being pointed to WA servers: Hope you find this helpful.

Hi Michael, this might help:

Thanks FluffyDuck. I tried the process but for some reasons, the page indicated that the domain name I’m importing, which has a .com.au extension, is not supported at WA platform. Hence the transfer process was terminated. A bit tricky isn’t it? Once again thanks.

Regards
Michael

Oh, that is frustrating. How very North Amercican of WA, lol.

Could you purchase the same domain name as a .com at WA and transfer the site material over?

Hi FluffyDuck. Unfortunately the .com version of the domain name is not available. I’m wondering if changing the URL setting on the Wordpress dashboard of the website, to the WA domain name I intend to transfer to and publishing the website to the WA domain, could help. I’m a bit stuck on this. Good luck to me isn’t it? Lol. Regards.

Mmmm, I don't know if changing your URL settings would help or if that's a good idea. How would the WA servers recognise the site? Normally, you have to import the DNS settings from your external site and give them to the WA servers so it can recognise your site.

Okay. Thank you very much for your time and support. I really appreciate them. Regards
