3 Storytelling Secrets
3 Storytelling Secrets š±
Hey guys, Michael here. Do you know the power storytelling can have for your business/Life?
I want to share with you how to literally BLOW UP your business overnight with these 3 secrets. But before I do, I need to say this one important thing...
A sale can be made in a moment, a relationship is built over a lifetime.
š¤Secret #1: People Will Relate With You
You need to talk to your audience/future customer prospects with respect and treat them like your best friend. Think about "why" people should listen to you? What makes you unique and relatable to their current pain/problems?
You need to meet them where they're at right now.
Drawing a story about how you started your business opportunity or starting to use a product is much more mindful of the other person than just saying "here, buy my product".
How will people relate to you like that? How can they trust you?
Start with your backstory.
What got you started on the current path you're on? Show people where you were before you had this transformation of yours.
š¤Secret #2: Stories Sell, Facts Tell.
I'm sure you've heard this at one stage or another, but in case you haven't, people "want" rather than "need"(usually), what do I mean?
People invest emotionally before they do logically. After you and I make a purchase, we find all the reasons to justify it to your spouse, a friend, a family member why we did...
So if you want someone to purchase or join you in your venture, focus on their emotions. Draw into their Desires, fears, problems, roadblocks, questions, and results they want...
Focus on increasing their status. Increase their appearance of:
ā Intelligence
ā Wealth
ā Style
ā Happiness
ā Power
ā Physical appearance
While you're telling your story you'll convey these statuses.
This is where you start coming out of your backstory and into the desires you had, the wall you hit, your epiphany, the plan you set out, a conflict that came up, achievement you had, and transformation you finally hit.
When done right, your stories will break down false beliefs and people's objections.
š¤Secret #3: Be captivating and in the present moment
Whenever you tell a story, make sure that you hit out of the gates with a hook such as "I remember when", "There I was sitting", "My early childhood", etc....
And have it where you add a past tense verbiage like "Was"...
And then when you're in the story, rather than using the past tense "Was", say "I am" or "I see", "I'm seeing"...
Rather than speaking through the past. A great storyteller draws images in the mind of their audience and invokes a real scene, but most importantly, learns how to "sell" the situation at hand.
A closing thought:
Always know your end result in mind before. What's the reason you're telling your story? To only illustrate a point, or to also have someone optin or purchase from you?
Do you need help with storytelling?

Hi Michael,
Bravo! šāš„
I used to apply these during my power up when I was doing MLM Presentation on the company, product, and marketing plan! š²š
In between we tell specific stories, especially in the marketing plan, how we take their interest, using the 3 secrets peppered with endless stories related to the inner yearnings of our soul and captivate them with the real possibilities of achieving their dreams at last by carefully orchestrating the ways and means on how to earn and get extra bonuses!! āØššš
Mastery of the product knowledge including the History and the who's who of the company, the marketing plan and ways to earn is vital. Confidence and clarity are vital. Punchline and keywords is a must. Stories must relate directly to them. Stories entertain and awaken their imagination and make them hungrier by the minute to join and start achieving their dreams!! ššš¹
Appeal to their vested interest and their capabilities!! š„šāš·šØšāšØš¬
Cheers!! šā”āšš

Thatās awesome! Youāre way ahead of the game Florentino. Yeah, when you format the presentation The right way, itāll hit deep levels into your ideal/dream customers mind. Persuasion in the ethical sense is a great tool/skill to have handy.
I agree, confidence and clarity are a must with product knowledge. Otherwise, Iād they donāt get that from you, the presentation can break own instantly.
Exactly hit the nail on it. Love it!

This sounds like good information :)
So, could you share an example of how you used a story in your writing and how it made a difference? Tell a story about how you used a story? :)
Hi DJ. Absolutely. Iāll take us far back to the middle of 2016 when I was laying in my bed stretched out for hours like there was no rest of the day - yet it was middle of the afternoon on a sunny day, and I had been watching videos on YouTube of the great Tony Robins, listening to this giant as he blasted his empowerment speech to my face and In a flash felt a shock of excitement as Iām laid there thinking to myself āI can do that tooā.
Inside I was like heck yeah, letās do this, Iāll start using this for the kids
Soccer team Iām coaching to give them a lift in practice and at games. Little Michael Is finally going to get the kids to win much more, Iām going to start getting more private sessions and a bump in pay!
At the end of the week it came game time, next to me are the parents, hey āJohnā, hi āAmandaā, their eyes beamed forward at me with this bigger than life smile and a handshake firmer than like the day the guy comes to pick up his date for prom and the dad gives a firm handshake - you better take car or her, but in my situation that was the kids.
Minutes before kickoff, I told a story about how we were going to beat this team, to stay motivated, they rushed into the pitch, but on the back of my mind Iām like what was that?
It sounded more like an acceptance speech. We won the game but I felt like I didnāt drive the point home, the kids had looked at me like āyeah ok coachā.
Where am i going wrong? just the next day I literally searched through Tony Robin videos again and began sifting through my search history
to try and get this right, and then it hit me...
I say a title called hook, story, offer. I click on this title with the thumbnail of a man with a āyou donāt know it yet but this will change your life lookā, I click and the first 4 words āhey this is Russell Brunsonā came out his mouth...
Half way into the video he delivers the one two punch on how to use story, I was here now Iām here and what makes it trigger in other peopleās minds...
So now Iām clicking this link, then that link, now the next one and before you know it Iāve geeked out On all his material, I went complete
Story bananas.
Next week at soccer practice I had planned to tell them to my boys. The day came and hereās me speaking my story into existence before practice with the boys and the parents. It went something like:
āI remember back when I was 12
Years old kicking the ball around like no ones business at practice, already envisioning that goal Iām going to make come game time, but on the inside Iām like āI hope no one is judging meā...
Anyways, come game time, I missed my chance in front of goal with no one next to me, I blew it. I could feel the sighs and change of emotion in the air, didnāt help the clouds being dark and black.
I went back to the drawing board, watched some videos, but I wasnāt until my friend on the team told me about a private coach who knew the specific skills I needed and that I wouldnāt have to suffer missing a goal or passing the ball the incorrect way...
I knew this was it. A couple weeks went by practicing my butt off, individual sessions, and when it came game time, I felt more confident that Iād score and Staring down the goalie one on one, I connect with the ball and it goes passed the keeper and in.
Iām feeling happy, and excited all together. I figured it out, and started to finally help out the team in scoring more goals.ā
After I told the story, One parent in the back goes āHMMā I see, the other āAhaā...
Itās working! The only conflict I faced was I didnāt have enough stories! So
I made sure to work harder on having more stories for next time.
Every practice and at time games when I could, Iād run through my story share library and said them with literally no effort.
My communication and way I had gone on to illustrate my points made me a happy man.
That definitely brings things more to life. Thanks for taking the time to write all that and tell your story :)
I love this post! And I love storytelling. I have always considered myself a storyteller. I think the personal aspect is especially important in the MMO niche, but in other niches too.
Hey Kirsti, storytellingās great right? Itās a great life skill and one in business. I agree, you see it so often in that niche. Yes, theyāre all over too. Thanks for your response.
