What is Christmas? What does it mean to you?
Christmas is just around the corner but what does it mean?
What does it mean to you?
Many people know Christmas is about celebration, parties, gift giving, spending time with the family and going on holiday, an enjoyable time. Or is it?
While it is a joyful time for many people, there are also who do not find Christmas a joyous time.
A lot of people find this time of the year very stressful and others find it as a time for sadness, loneliness, depressing and painful.
So, which one are you?
Are you one of those who enjoy Christmas or find it a difficult time?
Christmas should be a time to be happy, but the reality of life makes it impossible for a lot of people due to many reasons that maybe out of their control.
A week ago my sister in law lost her mother, and then a few days ago another two family friend had died and today, my friend just told me that his brother in law passed away.
I just cannot believe how many people I know had died within a week, and this all happened just before Christmas.
I cannot imagine the family celebrating Christmas the way it should be because they would still be grieving.
There are also many who may be struggling financially, physically, emotionally, and mentally at this time of the year.
People who are victims of violence, injustice, prejudice, terrorism, calamity and many more unfortunate events and situation.
I hope you are not one of those unfortunate people who cannot find Christmas as a time to enjoy and be happy.
But if you are, I want you to know that God is watching over you and that HE loves you!
If you call on HIM and pray, HE will be listening.
And if you open up your heart and let HIM enter.
Your life will be different; you will find JOY even in times of struggles because HE will give you strength, PEACE, and HOPE.
All you need is to have FAITH and TRUST in HIM.
What does Christmas mean to me?
It is a time for family, sharing, giving and most of all,
It is a time for LOVING and FORGIVING.
The two greatest gifts you could give to ANYONE and it would not cost a cent!
So, why not give it this Christmas?
May God Bless You all and May you find peace and happiness this Christmas.
Please share your thoughts and feelings about Christmas.
We would like to hear about it.
It might give other inspiration or lesson to learn.
Your friend,
Maria G.

I am a christian so for me it is the birth of Christ and what he wanted for mankind , peace, hope and joy.. it is also a time to take stock of where I am in life and to have the time with family

I love Christmas. When I think about Christmas the first thing that pops to my mind is my mother in the kitchen lol... making a marvelous diner. I think of my family, smiling and laughing. I can hear the champagne pop =) I think of my loved ones unwrapping their gifts.. I think of the lights on the christmas tree... and the cold outside...
This year is a bit different thought, it's not as cold as usual and my sister is in Florida... so I will greatly miss her... But Christmas has always been my most favorite holiday
Merry Christmas! =)

As a Christian, my heart goes out to all who suffer at any time of the year. But our hope in good times and in bad times is in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. He will walk with us thru any trial and tribulation that we face. He will never leave us alone. Christmas is a time to celebrate the coming of our Savior and to continue to share His love with others.
Many blessings to you Maria,
Lyn
