ChatGPT Plus Fixes My Ongoing PC Challenges. Solved.

Over the last several weeks, I have been having a lot of problems with my PC.

In my ignorance, I thought it was issues that I am still using WIN 10.

It turns out, there were multiple reasons for the problems I was having.

The first obvious one was my Avast VPN. One day it put up a msg warning about a Claude website I was using and it blocked Claude. I ended up uninstalling Avast and I replaced it with Proton.

Then I started have problems in text windows where it would do continuous 2's.

All I could do was restart the PC until it happened again.

A local computer technician said it might be the motherboard. I cant remember now what ChatGPT had me do, but it seemed like it fixed the problem so I didn't take my PC to have it fixed.

Recently, the challenges have been not being able to put my cursor on a tab at the top where you will then see a popup and know what it is and the same at the bottom to see what browser or program I am using.

Then it gets worse and I could not even close out some windows and couldn't even select Restart. I had to manually turn off and back on the PC.

So ChatGPT and I went to work to find out the root cause or causes.

Now that I know the cause it seems obvious. haha

The cause was other keyboards / mouse that had been used previously with my PC and because the battery was still in them they were active as far as my PC was concerned and even being put away they could still send signals to my PC which really messed things up.

So I removed all batteries from those.

I also found a receive or whatever you call the small plugin connected to my PC. I removed that as it was not needed.

Today is the first day I have had absolutely no issues with my PC. Hooray!!!

I didn't have to pay someone else to try to fix it.

I don't have to be in a hurry to buy a new PC with WIN 11.

I no longer have my work interrupted and have to restart or turn off my PC.

It feels great and I am that more educated as a result.
